First time here, definately worth coming back. Good food. Staff seems to work well together. Small, full, and lots of to go orders.

All of the food we had was fantastic! Miso soup, teriyaki chicken, super cali roll, the eel, salmon, tuna, and crab. The tea was very good too!!

We arrived and sat at the bar. Most places I’ve been you order directly from the chefs when you sit there, but not here. After about 10 minutes someone brought us water. We asked if we had a server or if we should order from the chef. She said we have a server and she went to the server to let her know we were ready to order. We waited another 10 minutes and no one came so we left. We typically spend $150 when we take out from Bluefin for 2 people. We were out for our anniversary and were excited to go to town. So disappointed with the service.
We have LOVED bluefin for years in bham. Tonight we went in for our anniversary dinner for a special night out. We waited about 15 minutes at the sushi bar then received waters and asked if we should order from the bar or if we would have a server. We were told we’d have a server and the water girl would let our server know we were ready. We then waited another 5 minutes with no service and decided to leave.
We’re really disappointed in the service. We planned to spend easily $150 + for an anniversary celebration!

My go to sushi spot in Bellingham. Best in town hands down. Love the salmon slammer roll and sake nigiri

The sushi was very good. I got the titanic roll. I like the green tea as well. I do wish they had half roll portions or half meal portions, or we would order more.
Really enjoyed the toro nigiri as well as the creamy hotate! Service was great and we were happy with everything :)

I have eaten here for many years. It is usually the only place I get fish. I have not been back for a few months. Recently, since May 2024 things have changed. If you call for togo within an hour and half of closing you will be turned away.
If you show up to eat in resturant with in an hour and half of closing you will be turned away.
If they are busy they will turn you away.
If you show up to dine in and there is a wait to be seated. You will be encouraged to wait in your car. A typical wait time is 45 to an hour. I empathize that it is a small resturant. But as a business model, sending a hungry customer to wait in there car for an hour... You can not expect them to come back.
After the 5th time of being turned away I started to think maybe it was me.
UNTIL, I had dinner with a friend who also is a Blue Fin Fan like me. She too has had the same experince over the last few months and has completely stopped eating there.
I do not know if I will ever eat there again. Which is a true loss. There ahi tower is the best!
I write this review in hopes of helping other customers who have been turned away to know your not alone.
Dietary restrictions: They will accomidate food allergies
Parking: The parking is Incredibly challenging
Kid-friendliness: Dont bring your kids. This is not the place.
Wheelchair accessibility: With the parking challenges and there high rate of turning customers away. I would not recommend this place. I would hate to see someone in a wheel chair go through the challenges of getting into the resturant to be asked to wait in there car or be refused service. This is a very high possibility.

Sitting at the bar I didn't appreciate that the Sushi chef was having a problem with a server and communicated very rudely to them. This conversation should not have been heard by any customers. Excellent Sushi, but the chef needs to learn some business ethics with employees and customers.
