Drive-in with a small dining room, has great burger specials and even better fish 'n chips, great criss-cut 'waffle' fries. You must get the sweet-potato fries and the deep fried halibut when they have it.

So it was a decent burger. Not too many mushrooms so it wasn't overpowering. Not super messy or greasy, a burger I wouldn't feel guilty for eating. Also the curly fries were nice and crispy.

Boomer's used to be our favorite burger places in Bellingham for many years. They are still pretty good but not the best any longer. We went back for the nostalgia of it, and it was just like we remembered. Food is good. We really like the Mushroom Swiss burger, and fried mushrooms are very tasty also. I dinged them slightly in the atmosphere as it's basically a drive in place with a very small eat-in area.
I like their food when it's done right, but this last time I went, I bought 2 of their Big Boom burgers. The burgers I got were not able to be described as anything but hockey pucks. They were inedible and went straight into my trash can. It's an embarrassing showing for a place that is listed as the best burger in the state. I attempted to email the ownership, and they didn't bother to email me back, so now I am reduced to posting a public review to shame them for their awful food.
I mean, ok food, decent price. Not fast as we were expecting, (about 15-20 min) but decent food.

Slightly fifties themed with old time rock n roll music. :) Fun! Food and service were great but the place needed some TLC and cleaning. The servers were very pleasant but dressed eclectically "hood." Something in dress code and theme would be appropriate. The prices were fair. Superb shake!
Classic hamburger place you just drive up to and order a burger when someone comes out. Great waffle fries and shake! Inexpensive and much better than any fast food hamburger joint. An absolute must when driving through Bellingham!

I was so disappointed with my visit to eat at Boomers on my bday with my grandkids. It was cold in the dining room, the food was not what we ordered and had to flag someone down when I came to the counter.
