Cool location I was lucky to get to visit again yesterday. I had a couple great beers in the lower beer garden. Hopefully a new buyer will keep the place going.
I see the Boundary Bay real estate is pending now. Hopefully the new owners continue running Boundary Bay. I Love Bellingham. It’s a great college town, close to so many lakes and hiking trails and the Canadian border.
I’m not able to comment on the food because the service was so abysmal I didn’t get that far. My party of 4 arrived for an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon. We stood, among others waiting for a table for nearly 10 minutes as the hostess walked around doing other things and not acknowledging the line of people waiting for tables. Finally, a member of my party asked if we should seat ourselves. The hostess snapped at her, telling her we needed to wait, and then another person came to help the hostess locate a table. We requested to be seated outside. When a server finally arrived to take our drink order several minutes later, she asked everyone for ID. Two members of our family dinner were my college-age nephews, both under 21. We were told we could not sit outside because the area was reserved for people over 21. We asked if we could be seated in the other outdoor area and were told it was full, despite having 6 open and set tables. While I acknowledge that they may simply have been short staffed, this was not during a rush hour. There was no excuse for the inattentiveness or for misseating us, wasting our time and ultimately leaving us to find another place to eat. Finally, the rudeness of the hostess was absolutely inexcusable.
Bellinghams oldest brewery. A staple in Bellinghams community. The brewery has been open for 30 years, and it shows. Great beer, decent food, and while the service is good now, it has had its ups and downs as most restaurants do. As it nears its last days, I definitely recommend checking them out before they fade into whatcom County's history books. Historical building and historical beer. Try the bellingham blonde, or there staple beer, the scotch ale. Great venue for music and family outings. Don't miss it before the close this fall.
Great food including vegan options, and large assortment of beer. We asked for a flight and it came in an adorable little boat. As a head's up, in the spring and summer, the farmers market is directly across the street and parking can be difficult to find. All parking (street and in a lot) requires payment
Been here twice now on a whim and had the BEST lunches. Immediately got sat, service is so fast professional and kind. More recently, got a Cuban with potatoes, both absolutely incredible, and an Arnold Palmer that was perfect as well! Pricing is not bad, gf buns are a huge plus, and the outdoor area is amazing in the spring/summer! We will be back many times in the future.
Fantastic food. Great service! It was very busy, but we didn't have a huge waiting. I'll go back again!
Food and beer were fantastic!
Food and beer were good, along with the location!
Best food and best customer service ever!! The staff there were so chill , accommodating and kind !!! There were also many vegan options for my friend which was really nice , she got the vegan chili and I also gave it a try and it was sooo good !! And the vegan cashew queso was excellent and the deviled eggs were also amazing , they come on tasty little bruschettas. The pretzel was definitely worth trying too! It was delicious !! The presentation of everything was beautiful 🤩
I love Boundary Bay! I've been coming here for over 20 years! I will sincerely miss you.
Megan Y was the worst service I have ever had. She should not be representing you in your final months.
Today I brought a friend here & I was embarrassed. Megan seems to care about socializing more than your brand.

Best brownie on this planet. Try it before you die.
Didn’t like the “baguette” they used for the French Dip. Was fresh but a good French Dip needs a softer bun to soak up that aus jus.
Gumbo was good. Cabin fever paired well with it.
Live music the night we went celebrating the lift of prohibition and a great history lesson of Bellingham, Boundary Bay food is excellent can’t go wrong with the meatloaf and the taps are plentiful sorry to hear they’ll be gone after 2025! We love ya Boundary Bay and staff your the best!
Located about halfway between Vancouver and my family in Lynwood it was a perfect location for a pre-Christmas meet-up. There are several vegan options on the menu, food and drinks/beer were great.
