Ordered catering for take away and they prepared everything perfectly and thoughtfully with excellent communication. The food got rave reviews. The chicken kebabs are large and not tough our dried out but juicy and flavorful. The dips and pita are excellent. It’s great they offer gluten-free pita option. Will order again!

I’ve been eating at Cafe Akroteri my entire life, and the food has always delivered. I even lived in Greece during college, and when I came home, I was amazed that the flavors here still held up. It’s one of the few places where the Greek food genuinely reminds me of being back in Athens. From the gyros to the spanakopita, it’s all spot-on. If you’re craving authentic Greek food, this is the place.
The service is consistently friendly—no complaints there. The staff is kind, attentive, and makes the experience enjoyable.
That said, the downside seems to fall on management. The restaurant is often not clean. Every time I visit, there are flies buzzing around and tables that feel like they’ve been wiped down in a hurry, if at all. It makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like behind the scenes, and that’s not something you want to be thinking about while eating.
Also, don’t trust the posted hours. Their website and Google listing will say they’re open—but it’s a gamble. They close randomly without warning, and more than once I’ve driven over only to find the doors locked.

I have to say, I was gloriously surprised by how genuine and tasty the food was here. I've been to many upon many different Greek restaurants over my 50+years, but never have I had an experience like today. Not only did I enjoy a wonderful meal but had a very lovely conversation with an exceptionally polite and friendly woman named Mira (i hope I said that correctly). She surprised me by paying for my meal. A true pay it forward moment. I have paid for people's groceries at Walmart and the grocery store before, but have never been on the receiving end before. Remarkable restaurant and remarkable customers! Looking forward to playing it forward for someone else.
Had a wonderful experience here trying their food for the first time. Our waitress Piper and Riley were superstars, would love to eat here again. Such sweet girls and even better food!

I've had Cafe Akroteri catered at my work several times and loved it every time. I finally got to try it dining in and I highly recommend it! Great service, really good quantity and quality of food for a reasonable price, and a great atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Plus it has a small parking lot which is pretty much unheard of in downtown Bellingham. We will definitely be going back more! Greek food is always so fresh and delicious. you could easily get enough food for $15 or so, but we did splurge a little and got some drinks as well, but still overall pretty reasonable! The grilled chicken gyros, lemon rice, and feta fries were all amazing.

I was excited to try this spot, but overall it was just okay. Portions were on the smaller side, especially for the price, and I was surprised by how light they were on the feta and meat. The fries were soft and not crispy, which was a letdown. For the cost, I expected a bit more in both quality and quantity. Won’t be going back unfortunately.

I ordered through Viking foods. I really wanted the veggie dolmathes. In the picture on Viking foods showed 6 of them. When delivering I only got one!! One for 4.03. very frustrated because this is one thing I was looking forward too. Called them and they said on their menu it's only One. I said stated to them on Viking foods there are 6 in the picture, and it doesn't state on how many you get. All she could say it was sorry and hung up
