My recent visit to Carnal, located around the Central Business District in Bellingham, WA, left me thoroughly impressed. Intrigued by the rave reviews, we decided to explore this local gem, and we're glad we did!Carnal's menu, though simple, offers a delightful array of dishes that showcase creativity and a commitment to quality ingredients. Each plate was interesting, expertly crafted and beautifully presented. While we couldn't indulge in their colourful cocktails on this visit due to the long drive ahead, we are excited to return and try them out.We captured a few highlights from our meal:* Housemade Brioche Rolls: These were incredibly soft and buttery, a definite must-order.* Fried Chicken Wings: Roasted in duck fat, these were hands down the best wings I have ever had.* Grilled Pork Rib Cap: A unique and flavorful dish.* Slow-Cooked Beef Short Ribs: It is no surprise that nearly every table enjoyed these. They were cooked and seasoned to perfection, truly unique.Overall, Carnal is a must-visit for anyone in Bellingham looking for a memorable dining experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu, especially those cocktails!??Food: Must Try!Service: ?‍??‍??‍??‍?Kids: ??? A-OK for kids. The single best restaurant in Bellingham. You will not find another restaurant here that combines their level of expertise, creativity, and execution. Just go and enjoy.

Always a great experience every time we go. Varied dishes with a changing menu and cocktail list has us coming back for favorites (chicken wings) and trying whatever they have that is new.

Absolutely divine experience! They have a rotating menu. They have lots of gluten and dairy free options (dessert too). They have yummy cocktails and some delicious mocktails as well! Highly recommend going here for a ladies night or date night. They can ben quiet during the week. Great service

this place is a real gem. Don't go here if you're starving, portions are pretty small, but if you're looking for a really cool place with some super unique items that are delicious and then this is the spot. I have sampled most of the appetizers, entrées, and drinks, and they are all incredible to be honest.

Cocktails great. Pea salad, short rib , homemade bread and eggplant are all amazing.

Want a laid back, unrushed tasty dinner experience? This place delivers in spades. Add to that a very adept mixologist and you had an evening that you can enjoy. We went here for our 51st wedding anniversary and created a special memory. Highly recommended by this old couple.

Absolutely amazing food, worth the trip from Seattle to eat here. The service is prompt and the staff knowledgeable and willing to discuss the menu. An outstanding bar program with unique drinks in multiple levels from boozy to no abv. Above average ambiance, with the highlight being able to watch the kitchen work.

Hip atmosphere and vibe. A night peppered with eves dropping on the asinine ramblings of Baker ski bruvs. Speaking of peppered, watch out for the pork cap. The dish is salted and peppered beyond recognition of what meat you're even eating. Cauliflower was better, but still not seasoned well and way too sweet. Chicken wings were a highlight though. I would recommend those. Cocktail "gamblers tea" was pretty one dimensional.

Everything was amazing, from the cod to the hanger steak, and even veggies! I only gave a 4/5 stars because I wish they had just a little more variety on side dishes. Yet everything was cooked and presented beautifully. Our cocktails (the Archangel) looked stunning and tasted amazing. We also loved the atmosphere, as it has a very sexy masculine vibe. Highly recommend for date night or new dining experience.
