Even before we lived in Bellingham, we'd drive up to eat at the Colophon (and visit Village Books). It's been a favorite lunch or dinner spot of ours since the 90s.
The soups are excellent (especially the peanut soup) as are the sandwiches and salads. They do have gluten free bread available. Service is always really attentive. And, we really appreciate the changing selection of cocktails (favorites are the Winter Margarita, the Bee's Knees, and the Old...
Pretty good overall experience. Just a slight downfall was that the waiter could have come around a little more often to ask if anything was needed vs us having to look around to flag him down still recommend the place
It's changed. To me, no longer for locals more for the tourists. I get it, that's business. Raised prices, no longer any simple quiche or sandwiches, all almost $20. Out of turkey?? I'm saddened and upset about it 😔 Personal opinion 😊
