Bumped into this cute place on a walk down to fairhaven. Pretty cute location with a good amount of ice cream flavors. They also have soft serve! The soft serve is prepackaged in fun flavors/toppings or you can create your own then and there since they get it out of the soft serve machine. It's a small establishment, can fit quite a few people but maybe not the best for multiple large parties. $2.99 for the soft serve, and it was delicious. I got the premise Carmel, vanilla and waffle cone combo. Can't argue with that price!
Great ice cream, so creamy and rich! The yogurt was tasty as well! Fair prices and friendly service!
They have great ice cream
The edaleen dairy was worse in basically very thing than the one in Ferndale area
Atmosphere is not the best inside. Very cold and generic looking. Most importantly the ice cream is average in my opinion.
A great place to get a quick ice cream in the summer while walking around Fairhaven. I think the ice cream texture/flavor is slightly different from the mother store up north, but that could be just me, not sure yet. Keep in mind that the flavors will be your basic selection to choose from. If you want a larger selection, go to Acme ice cream nearby, or LaFeens's. Also, you should make the trip up the the mother store in Lynden. There are lots of dairy-related things to try there. Anyway, the staff are friendly and talkative, willing to help you decide which flavor you want. All-in-all, a nice venue for when the sun is out playing.
The best thing was the company I was with!!
Same great ice cream at Fairhaven!
I love the ice cream at Edaleen Dairy though truthfully I've only ever had the soft serve vanilla. It's all I need. The ice cream is creamy, sweet, and a great way to treat yourself on a warm day. Is it healthy? No. Though compared to McDonald's or Dairy Queen, I find the taste better so if I'm going to consume the calories and any additives they include, might as well be from Edaleen. It also helps that I don't live in this state as I only enjoy this the occasional time I'm in Bellingham. This location is in a quaint area called Fairhaven and is surrounded by all sorts of stores and restaurants. Not too far from the bay and Boulevard Park. This Fairhaven location is fairly small and looks to only be an ice cream parlor. Some of the other Edaleen Dairy shops include some groceries. It certainly fits the style of the neighborhood than their other locations. Staff was polite and efficient doing their jobs. Always happy to have some soft serve from Edaleen and look forward to my next trip up to the Bellingham area.
Great ice cream! Great flavors. Great service and friendly staff! Great locally owned place!
This place recently opened up in downtown Fairhaven. It is located next to the Fairhaven Village Inn, behind the bookstore. I was rather disappointed with their selection of ice cream. I sampled a few flavors and was not very impressed either. They did not taste any better than the ice cream I could purchase from a grocery store. Plus, the ice creams they offer are all saturated with food coloring, making them appear colorful and pretty, but unnatural.
Friendly staff and delicious ice-cream! Great stop just over the border!
I know lots of people like the ice cream here, but it's not for me. I was first appalled by the bright colors. Then I was surprised how gooey the ice cream was, something I could not believe dairy can deliver. So, I went home and did some search online. I found a list of ingredients on the Open Food Facts website. My suspicion was confirmed. They put in quite a bit of additives, mostly binding agents and stabilizers, including carrageenans. You can find the list of ingredients and descriptions of the additives at https://world.openfoodfacts.org/product/0014138700572/premium-ice-cream-vanilla-edaleen-dairy. I'm sure they use fresh milk, but I don't like all the additives they mix. I know they won't kill me, but I don't need them. At least, when I think I'm eating fresh ice cream from a local creamery, I don't need all the additives whether natural derivatives or artificial. ***************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" to let me know. Best ice cream....best prices in town!!😋
5 stars bc their Strawberry ice cream rocks and the price of a mini cup (which I ate with another person) is only $2.17! Very sweet staff and nice location in Fairhaven outside of downtown Bellingham.
Organic, homemade ice-cream. Delicious!
Amazing ice cream, amazing prices, and a cute little shop overlooking the Fairhaven Village Green - what's not to love about the fact there's an Edaleen only a few minutes from my house now!? It's true, we used to drive all the way to Ferndale to enjoy their cold, creamy deliciousness. So when the Fairhaven location opened, as excited as I was, I also slightly feared how easy it would be to load up on delicious dairy anytime I wanted to. So far, I've only gone once - but at $7 for TWO delicious double scoops (and a fun mother-daughter date sitting in the window watching people go by) I know I'll go again. And again.
Best ice cream in watcom county
My husband and I love their take-and-go frozen cupcake cups! They're single-serve and come in 3-4 different flavors so we can each choose whatever we like that day. Also love to use their cream and milk in my cooking and baking!
Best tasty ice cream in town... Yummy
This is a brand new facility, very clean sweet workers, they just have the ice cream and cake, they have a fridge, for some of their milk products.
Ice cream is really good and the food is too!
Went there 7/12 at 6pm. Girls were semi busy but full of smiles and very kind. Let us try multiple flavors before we chose without hesitation. Great flavors! It was hard to choose!! Thanks for the great experience!
Fantastic ice cream and great milk.
Great ice cream
Wow! They had my favorite flavor ice cream...licorice. This was a very popular place for a Tuesday night. Even though the line was long the service was fast and efficient. Large tasty selection of ice cream flavors in all kinds and sizes of cones and dishes. Quality and flavor was exceptional!
I LOVE Edaleen Dairy I've cream. It's my favorite around. However, I don't love the bham location. It's much smaller than others. Less "one stop shop" and more "boutique" style- which fits the neighborhood. My problem is that people don't seem to know the expectation that you pay then order. The staff do it both ways, which makes it confusing (especially when the place is crowded!) So, I think some signs inducating one way or another would be helpful.
Worst ice cream! Full of ice (happens in manufacturing) and very little flavor and zero richness. Disappointed bc I had heard it was the best around. stick to gelato next door at Serena's.

Oh Edaleen, as much as I love you the danger is real! :)
I tried the maple nut ice cream and it was fantastic. The servers were very nice and price was very good for the amount of ice cream you get.
this place will be a hit in the summer ! we got maple nut and coconut almond and they were great ! and large portions too ! so many flavors to choose from ! get an ice cream and walk along the waterfront !
I went on opening day and had a great experience. Store was clean and well staffed. Line moved quick. Prices are extremely reasonable especially for a business in Fairhaven neighborhood. Happy to have an Edaleen in Bellingham now!
I love the atmosphere and the liveliness! They've got really goodice cream and milkshakes
Get the ham loaf.
