We moved from southern California to Bellingham, Washington, and were very surprised to find a Mexican restaurant nearby that has great food and service. We go there at least once a week.

A fairly typical Americanized Mexican restaurant. The service can be a bit slow when they get busy in the summer, but that can happen anywhere. The food is exactly what you'd expect and the view of the golf course is nice. The price is a bit more than some Mexican restaurants and a bit less than others. The biggest issue my wife and I have had lately is that they never seem to be open. The last FOUR times we've randomly decided to go here (during their posted business hours mind you) they've been closed with no explanation.

This is our neighborhood restaurant and Bar! Cruz family and staff always make us feel special. We love Mexican food! The portions are always generous.

Parking: The parking lot is shared with the SVCA golf club and sometimes fills up but I’ve always been able to find a spotKid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and a foosball table and some vending machines with toys for kids in themWheelchair accessibility: The parking lot is on a hill but there is an accessible entrance. May need to drop the person in the wheelchair at the door

Once again I made the cut for El Agaves Christmas tamales! The best tamales I've found as far as flavor, texture and meat to masa proportions. I impatiently await the season to submit my order..never disappoint! I freeze and scoop them out anytime I feel the need! So comforting..I highly recommend

The food here is good. We had great fajitas. The only issue with that is the amount of toppings you have in comparison to the wraps doesn't add up so you have to pay for extra wraps.

WWU students both got the 2 taco plate. The tacos were generous and topped with lettuce, tomato and cheese and the plate was also filled with rice and beans. The plate was attractively arranged and the wait staff was great. Very few people were eating at the time.
