This was my fiancé and my first time here, recommended by a friend who ate lunch there before. The server Sula, I believe, was so sweet and funny. I will be back many times for the traditional fettuccine Alfredo. Best Alfredo sauce I have ever had in my life, and I’m a fettuccine Alfredo girlie. The restaurant is very clean, and we were offered homemade cookies at the end. Highly recommend.

The food is authentic, meat is flavorful and tender, Dolmades are juicy and lemony.
Sometimes hard to catch them open, but worth the meal.

The server was very rude. We had never had Greek food before and every time we asked the server a question they answered very annoyingly. We tried a little bit of everything. The appetizer was very small and expensive. When our lamb was under cooked the owner argued with us. The lamb was raw, bleeding and lightly seared. We asked for the lamb to be medium rare with extra tzatziki. We asked multiple times for extra tzatziki. When we were finished we got our tzatziki. Food was bland and staff was extremely rude.

Staff was great. my burger was awful and when I mentioned something had turned to the waitress she was very understanding and appreciated me letting her know I wasn't mad or inpolite but the manager came to tell me I was wrong and there was nothing wrong with food I just didn't have a refined enough Palette to appreciate the complex flavors and i felt like it was a disappointing way to handle a customer complaint

We had such a fantastic experience at Five Columns Greek Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing, everyone was so friendly, personable, and genuinely welcoming. You can really feel the pride they take in making guests feel at home. The interior is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with a warm atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy every bite.
I ordered the Eggs Benedict with gyro, and wow, it was incredible. I’d never had that combo before, and now I’m completely obsessed. The gyro was perfectly seasoned and paired so well with the hollandaise sauce, rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
We also shared the bogatsa, and it was out of this world, perfectly flaky, warm, and lightly sweet with just the right texture. The Greek salad was fresh and crisp, and while the dressing was a little on the olive-forward side for my personal taste, I can tell it’s a great authentic flavor that others will absolutely love.
My husband got the chicken gyro with house fries, and he couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the tzatziki sauce was creamy and full of flavor, and the fries were seasoned to perfection, crispy, golden, and delicious.
Overall, everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere was five stars across the board. It’s rare to find a place that nails it all, but Five Columns does. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit, a true Bellingham gem!

For those of you who had the pleasure of dining at Mykonos before they decided to close their doors, dining at Five Columns will be somewhat of a disappointment should you have a hankering for some Greek food.
Some negative feedback:
- The environment is drab and dark and does not seem to have much of a theme at all - It could be the inside of a Dennys restaurant. Given how expensive it is to dineout these days, part of the experience should be cultural ambiance related to the cuisine you are eating. In other words, i want to feel temporaily transformed, where the senses, tastes, smells, and atmosphere of a restaurant strongly evoke memories of being in that country or culture. Lots of room for improvement at this place.
- The pictures on the menu are not at all appetizing and make the dishes look like something you would get on your tray at a prison or junior high cafeteria. Those should be changed immediately. Pro tip - use some proper lighting.
- Not enough pita bread accompanies dishes that require it - Hummus, Tsatziki, Saganaki, etc...you will get about 1/2 way through that appetizer and have to ask for more which you will have to pay for. IMO, pita bread at a Greek restaurant is akin to chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. It should be plentiful and just keep coming...
- They do not seem to offer roasted Greek lemon potatoes with any dish. I loved this option at Mykonos. I stead they offer what alpaear to be just large cut fries.
- Portion sizes are small for what you are paying. $8 for hummus that looks like a dollop from a single ladle spoon and the 2 pieces of pita you receive is not enough for 4 people. You will probably need to order 2 unless u want to fight iver it. Would be better if 5 columns just increased the cost a little and served a larger portion with more bread. This dish should also come with some vegetables like cucumbers or carrots and not just be about the bread - a hummus appetizer should be about the hummous.
- I ordered the chicken souvlakia with rice. The chicken was very dry, over seasoned, and was not served with any tsatziki sauce which this dish desperately needs since the chicken is so dry. Therr was so much seasoning on my checken, I could not even tell it was chicken without a closer look. The rice that came with the dish was good, but was a lot closer to Italian risotto than any Greek rice I have had before. Where is the lemon flavor????
Some Positive:
- The Greek salad option was delicious. The dressing was very flavorful and tangy. While I was expecting something different (green pepper, cucumber, tomatoes, etc..), the salad was
- Likewise, the Moussaka was spot on and would probabaly be what I order there if we decide to revisit.
- The Saganaki was also good and I was pleased to see that on the appetizer menu - just did not come with enough bread. So if you are unwilling to pay for more bread, you will probably be eating much of that with a fork and knife.
- The retaurant has a strange mix of food. There are some signature Greek dishes, but there are also so many non-greek options that it felt somewhat like a generic american diner. 5 cloumns should just focus on one cuisine/culture - Greek. I am willing to give this place another try in the future but it likely wont make my short list of options for dining out. It will take a strong desire for Greek flavors to get me back here.

Five Columns absolutely nailed it! I had the gyro sandwich with their amazing homemade fries and a glass of Greek wine-everything came out hot, fresh, and in huge portions. The service was exceptional from the moment I walked in, super friendly and fast, and the restaurant was spotless. The gyro was so good as you can see from my photo-totally worth it! If you want authentic Greek food that hits the spot every time, Five Columns is the place to go.

I really wish I lived near Bellingham, because I would visit this restaurant often. We had a party of 9 and four of us ordered a gyro and agreed that it was the best gyro we've ever had. It was a perfect ratio of sauce to meat and very delicious. Others in our party enjoyed a few of the pasta dishes and also desserts. The server was very accommodating and friendly, and we found out later that it was a family-owned restaurant. Please frequent this restaurant if you're in the area. The mediocre burger place next door was way busier, which is really sad.

This is a new favorite of ours. Started life as a steakhouse, and it shows. Currently our favorite place to come when we’re craving a steak. The saganaki is to die for, every Greek dish we’ve tried has been exemplary, and the family that runs it are so warm and friendly we feel like old friends already.

We’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and I’ve never had a bad experience. On the contrary, every time I eat here, I leave satisfied and happy I went. Recently went on a Saturday evening. Quick and kind service, delicious souvlaki, and a tranquil, relaxing environment. This, to me, is Bellingham’s best Greek restaurant.
