Love this place - the tamales were delicious - had the chicken chile verde, chorizo and cheese, and salsa roja pork along with chips and guac. Be sure to get the tamales smothered in red sauce. Their guac is fire as were the picked veggies. Pair it all with a beer from El SuenitođșWill def be back!

We had a great experience at Frelards! Our party all got tamales and were really happy with them! The portions were large, great flavor and we felt like it was a good value. Especially reccommend the vegan plate (fajitas tamales with rice and beans). Will definitely come back next time we are in Bellingham!

Great place for Celiacs!! The food is great and comes out quick. Itâs also really filling, you can definitely share one entree with someone if youâre not feeling too hungry!

I LOVE this restaurant. As a Lactose Intolerant Celiac this place has proven safe for me. My body and my taste buds really love the food here. Iâm very grateful to have somewhere I can eat out at, here in town. Thank you!

Very machine-noisy place. You order at a counter, get your own water, get your own food when called, and bus your own table when done. Thus, why are tips requested? Also, what Mexican restaurant doesn't offer a beef option? This place.

Overrated, mostly masa, tamales, we had a poor experience with the atmosphere and service and felt the tamales were very overpriced for what they are.

Great staff, busy place. I like to meet friends here, although you could easily go it alone and sit at one of the large pick nic style tables, and perhaps make a new friend. The staff and service is helpful- casual dining in or take out. Good salad choices, veg. options. Anything Carnitas (my favorite), and yummy drinks; fresca y horchata, and (cocktail or mocktail) if you're not a beer drinker.

It's okay for a quick lunch as we're not fans of beer so maybe you will enjoy it more if you drink. I had the cider mimosa, it's good. The breakfast tacos are average. My husband likes his tamales. You order and pay at the counter, there's not much customer service.

My grandson chose Frelard Tamales as the place he would like us to celebrate his birthday. It was a fun atmosphere, and the food was great. Being an older person in my mid 70s I was a little confused when I needed to use the restroom. There were three doors all marked plainly, gender fluid restroom. What has happened to the menâs and womenâs restrooms?
Itâs hard to find a good tamale with the right masa consistency. These tamales were the best! Tasty and moist. My mom got the shrimp tacos and loved them. Both dishes were delicious and nicely plated. The place was very clean with a relaxing vibe. Will definitely eat here again!
