Super good beer and food and kitchen are super nice but the beertenders are super rude. Very short with customers.

Love the atmosphere here, especially at night. Cozy fire pits in the outdoor area. Fantastic beer selection. Beer tenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Music completes the relaxing and fun vibe. Also kind of cool that this brewery has mixed drinks as well. Can't wait to come back here.

Loved this dog friendly brewery so much we went back a second night! Tried several beers and they are all tasty! Great vibe inside with the lights plenty of outdoor seating with fire pits and a view of the water in some spots. Get the nori fries - they are super fire! Wish we would have eaten dinner here! Will def be back when in bham.

My favorite brewery in Bellingham and first time trying their food the other night - ordered their tofu sando and after a bit of a longer wait, the cook working (I don’t know his name I’m sorry but shout out to you king!) comped my dinner and apologized for the wait!! So not necessary but so so kind! A+ customer service combined with delicious food and good drinks makes this places so deserving of 5 stats

Usually a good bar with chill vibes but a bartender turned us away despite having a valid ID. They should train more thoroughly to recognize ID laws in Washington State. Not all IDs look the same and this was disappointing that a night out with friends was ruined because they're unfamiliar with the different types of identification used.

I visited Gruff today on a search for pumpkin ale… and they had none. I left with a mixed six pack, 2 crowlers of 2 different Pilsners, and a new appreciation for this fantastic brewery. Nick is a great barman - thanks for the good conversation!

Gruff has great food, cocktails and pints. Fun atmosphere in the summer with tons of outside seating, fire pits, corn hole and dog friendly. Highly recommend!

I came here on a sunday afternoon with some friends, sat down and ordered and paid for food. When getting a drink (completely sober) at the bar I was refused service as my Swedish driving license was apparently not adequate. I am 32 and I have used this same piece of ID many times around Bellingham and the rest of the united states, without question. I agreed not to buy a beer and returned to my seat outside to wait for my food. At this point the manger followed to my seat and informed me i needed to leave the property. It was clear from her actions that foreign people are not welcome in this bar, so please avoid. Unfortunately she also had a heavily infected nose ring, so I am happy we never ate our food as there is clearly a food hygiene issue at play!
