Fantastic service, food was delivered quite quickly and was hot! Gyoza was pan fried - the best way!Tempura was crispy and the Ramen was so flavourful. Will defs come back. Highly recommend.

Was absolutely phenomenal! Had the tokoyaki and hokkai ramen, was very impressed. Spent a bit of time digging for a good “soup” restaurant and started looking into the ramen shops, Hokkai has amazing reviews all over the place. Gave it a shot and couldn’t have been happier. Tokoyaki was amazing, well balanced flavor. Well priced for serving size. Same as the hokkai, huge bowl for $17. The pork had amazing flavor and was well cooked. Not chewy. Amazing broth. Was so full yet SO HUNGRY, I would have finished it all at once if physically possible! Will be a returning customer for a long time. Very sweet homey atmosphere with delicious hearty food. I can easily even say the best restaurant I’ve been to since i’ve moved to this area!

Excellent craft and fresh sushi. Also the Tempura and Ramen is excellent. I have ye to try any Tonkatsu fried because I love the sushi, sashimi, presentation, etc. It is a bit spendy but I find it well worth it for the quality. I highly recommend Hokkai

Absolutely disgusted by this horrible company. I went in with dietary restrictions, and chose something from their sushi menu that was safe for me to eat according to the ingredients they displayed. The sushi comes out and is covered in a sauce, the WRONG sauce according to their menu mind you, that I'm allergic to. When the waitress comes by and asks how it is, I ask if the sauce has soy in it. Sure enough, it has soy which meant I couldn't eat any of it. I told her as much and SHE BLAMED ME! I told her that the menu specifically says it doesn't get that sauce and she gave some lame excuse of outdated menus and blah blah blah. Needless to say I will never be going to that restaurant again. The service was absolutely disgusting. Stay far away from this restaurant!

Delicious. In Bellingham, a good option for authentic food with balanced ingredients, bringing fish and seafood back to life in a gastronomic parade. Recommended for a good brunch. Affordable and delicious. I'll be back for their takoyaki and tonkatsu ramen.
