Homeschool BBQ in Bellingham, we wandered in yesterday and fell in love with everything. The brisket and pork were served and eaten “naked”. I believe excellent food should be eaten w/o sauce, condiments, or frills the first time or bite. Although the sauce, condiments, and frills were also great, their beef and pork platter was perfection we will return. Dip your meat in the drippings left from the piggy greens side, oh my.

Full disclosure: we didn't actually eat here. Our review is for the service. We were going to be a party of 4, with each of us arriving separately on our own. Our first person arrived, went into the restaurant, and let the employee know we were a party of 4. He said it's first come, first serve and told our person she couldn't sit down since all of our party were not there. This would make sense if the restaurant was busy, but the restaurant was empty except for one group of guys. She was then asked if there was alcohol in the water bottle she had brought in. She said no, but was told she couldn't have it in the restaurant. Our person, a 70 yr old woman, said it was raining and she wasn't going outside with the water bottle. The second person in our party arrived so the two of them sat at a table. They were once again told they couldn't because the entire party wasn't there. The two ladies decided they were done and walked out to wait for the other 2 to arrive. When all 4 of us were there, we unanimously agreed to go somewhere else for lunch. The employee was just plain rude and dismissive when he didn't need to be. This is not how to attract customers to your business. It's too bad as we were really looking forward to trying the food we keep reading good reviews of.

We were excited to try the bbq, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. We were the only couple there and food took a long time. Mac and cheese tasted like it was old and left in the fridge too long. Coleslaw was dry and just cabbage. The meats were decent but all food wasn’t hot. For $$, I don’t recommend this place for bbq. Server was fun and lively and I loved all the plants outside.

I'm not sure why we waited so long to try this place. Two of us shared the wings, half rack of ribs (weekends only) and two sides. The wings were ginormous, crispy and delicious. They were served with a sauce of your choice. The ribs were the best I've ever had and almost too good for sauce. For sides we tried mac and cheese and the lemon dill potato salad, both were awesome. The bloody mary and margarita were also exceptional! You can tell a lot of love is put into this place!!

Incredible BBQ (brisket, pulled pork, ribs on weekends) in an utterly quirky setting with friendly staff. Seriously, this place is worth visiting for either the food or the decor, so it's a double win. We had no idea what to expect when we pulled up and would absolutely seek it out if we were in the area again. (Very queer friendly!)
This restaurant is a quirky, adorable diamond in the rough. Queer friendly, family friendly, allergy friendly. Fabulous food, amazing decor. Trivia at the table.
