They use to have the best Happy Hour before the pandemic. After the pandemic all the happy hour prices went way up and the portion got a lot smaller. We went almost once a week and now we never go because the prices are too high. Food is not worth the cost. Service is better at different locations.

Jalapeños in Barkley Village is worth a visit!

I was immediately served warm chips and a mild salsa.

Then I ordered a 🍓 Strawberry Basil Margarita - Crafty, Crisp, & Classy! A small strawberry basil margarita balanced sweet and herbal notes beautifully.

The service was warm, welcoming, and quick. Located in a charming little strip mall, the overall feel is casual.

Each taco, priced at just $2 (during happy hour), delivered bold flavors, fresh ingredients in a very crispy shell...one of the best bargain bites in Bellingham. The tacos held their shape and didn't get soggy.

With a few tacos, chips & salsa, and that refreshing margarita, my total tab was just over $19...an absolute steal. As other diners confirm, happy hour makes this place a standout for quality at a fair price .

It's famed for the “Big Mama” margarita and huge nacho platters—ideal for groups during happy hour . Maybe I'll indulge in one or both of these one day!  I'll be back!

Jalepenos – 1 Star
Our experience at Jalepenos in Bellingham Barkley Village was a letdown from start to finish. Although we received items matching our order on paper, nothing was prepared correctly.
My boyfriend’s carne asada was super dry and bland—cut parallel to the grain so anything but tender. I ordered traditional enchiladas, expecting rolled tortillas with filling sealed inside and a drizzle of mole on top. Instead, I got tortillas kept in a warmer with the filling served on the side (like soup.) The mole was far too runny with large chunks of chicken swimming around. To top it off, the waitress forgot my boyfriend’s flour tortillas until we had to remind her, proving she hadn’t listened to our order at all. As someone who knows what authentic Mexican cuisine should be, it’s hard to believe such carelessness could pass for a proper meal. Don’t let them serve you subpar plates—you deserve better.

Amazing service, amazing atmosphere, amazing food and so on. Great place for dine in. My personal favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Washington.

Such a great experience - Viti (hope I spelled that right) was so amazing and made our experience such a good time! She was so friendly and personable, hope management takes notice!

They have a great (and free)salsa and toppings bar. Chips and salsa are also included with meal

Great service, and they were excellent about modifications for allergies. Terrific spot.

Good food in large portions.
However a beef burrito should not be full of lettuce, it's not a taco.
