I stopped into Locus and tried the Bioluminescence drink with Blue Lotus. While the name and concept sounded intriguing, the drink itself just didn’t land for me. It was overly sweet, to the point that I couldn’t really tell if there were any true botanical or herbal notes in it—it tasted more like a sugary mix than a crafted herbal elixir.
It came in a pint glass with lots of ice, and at $7+ it didn’t feel like a great value. I love supporting places that experiment with plant-based or wellness-inspired drinks, but this one just didn’t deliver the depth or intention I was hoping for.
That said, the vibe of the space was lovely and calm. I’d be open to trying something else on the menu, but this one wasn’t quite it.

For how expensive it is their drinks need to be better and more consistent. Their wraps and avocado toast are good. I like their Tonkin st coffee but for the love of god tell me why I just paid $7 for “butterfly lemonade” that was literally just purple lemonade? Also their coffee is different every time so it’s a crap shoot if it’s going to be too sweet or more bitter.

Visited from out of town and had a terrific Sunday breakfast experience. Attentive, professional service, excellent cortado, egg sandwiches that bring the magic. Try them with the house aioli sauce. Great value. Will return. Recommended!

Coffee rocks, food was great, host was very nice and gave good ice cream advice. The rose latte wasn't too sweet and was exactly what we wanted.

The baristas are so friendly and courteous here! Their creative and inclusive drinks and food options are really delicious and I always get excited when a friend suggests we come here. The lighting here is really great and it's always a comfy place to stop. Love the white chocolate mocha here!
I had the bioluminescence, a tasty and magical looking lotus beverage. Paired with a ham, egg, and cheese breakfast wrap with some delicious chipotle sauce, it was great pre-workout grub. I appreciate they always have great music and friendly service as well. ✨

Big food and inexpensive. My mocha was outstanding as was her dirty chai tea. Ellie was our server and she made our day better! We will return to try more items on the menu; the bacon breakfast sandwich and veggie croissant were excellent. My eggs oh so fluffy and her fresh greens and tomatoes-delicious! I highly recommend both the chipotle and garlic aoli's; get them in your belly! Looking forward to our return.
