The food was not good. I had fish and chips. The fish was burned and dry and the fries were also burned and soggy. My spouse had the chicken sandwich which was like a chicken patty from a grade school cafeteria. Bad.
Beautiful place

They were short staffed and busy. Service industry is no joke and I applaud you guys. Some of the comments made by tables around us were a joke.

Have been hearing numerous accounts from locals within Bellingham either currently employed / previously employed at the Loft regarding the owner's behavior presenting as quite out of line & highly unreasonable. These accounts seem to be stacking up.
No owner, I do not want to email or call you and drop names for you. I want you to fix this behavior.
Passive aggressive behavior and unfair treatment of employees commonly heard. I'd like the community to be aware of this, and her as well. Owner seems to be quite responsive to reviews (defensive, more so) left, and I'd love if instead of leaving a phone number urging to be contacted, she do some self reflection & begin repairing. Thx!!

Beautiful views but very slow service and food was good, not great. It's definitely NOT fine dining and more pub food. We sat down and ordered a bottle of wine, knowing it was our anniversary, and after 16 minutes, we finally got the wine. Disappointing. Food; Salmon cakes, bread and not much fish. Overall, not sure we will come back unless we want a burger.
Il gave it three stars because my last visit was really bad compared to normal.
I had fish and chips and the breading/batter was soggy. It was just gross!!! Plus it was expensive. Not to mention, you're right on the water, you shouldn't ever have bad fish and chips, ever!!! I usually enjoy my meals here, it was very upsetting.

Very disappointed with the food at The Loft. The halibut tacos had so much onion in them it masked the flavour of the fish, and the crab queso appetiser although served hot was less about the crab and more about the spicy sauce. The salmon cakes were rather overcooked and were just a brown mush on the inside. The capers and celery completely overwhelmed the salmon, if indeed there was salmon inside as so dry I could not tell and definitely no pieces of salmon could be seen. Again, with the sweet potato fries the heavy seasoning was all that could be tasted. For over $70 for just the food, not somewhere I would return to or recommend.

Excellent. Upscale. Great view. Would recommend!
My son, my granddaughter, and I stopped by to celebrate his birthday. Not only was the service great the food was awesome!
Very expensive! Food was OK... but coffee, sangria, and 2 sandwiches totaled $68 FOR LUNCH!
NEVER AGAIN...
They have a decent happy hour, but way expensive for anything else.
The server forgot we ordered an appetizer. Never even acknowledged she forgot. Brought my friend a refill of Iced Tea with no Ice. I had to get ice from the bartender. There wasn't even an apology for me having to get something that should be common sense. The MR steak salad was well side of medium well. We didn't ask for dessert yet she brought us a birthday dessert for my daughter's 19th birthday. Thinking she did something nice only to find out we were charged for a dessert we didn't order. Then she tried to stop us at the door when we went to leave. Incredibly rude and disrespectful. I was very disappointed with my daughter's birthday experience. Good service has become a lost art. I guess with $16+ minimum wage servers don't think they have to provide exceptional service.
A delightful setting by the marina. Friendly and helpful staff. And, most importantly, scrumptuios food options! We enjoyed the cajun seafood mac and the halibut tacos to the last bite.
