Had a classic chicken pie delivered. It was very good. The gravy was very tasty. I do wish the pie had less dark meat and more vegetables, but all in all, a good meal.

Oh man. The meat in these meat pies are great. I stole some from my brother (lamb) and my mom (chicken curry). I had the braised beef. So delicious. Too bad I'm about 60 miles away, otherwise that would be a reoccurring meal.

These pies are good pies. I maybe go here once a month - nice to have that buttery, flaky crust between my teeth and later down my throat. Especially good in the colder months, when the chill burrows deep, like the noble weevil (which is only a wee bit evil, after all). A great way to keep the weevil away, I tell passersby outside of this restaurant. The staff tells people, Don't mind him, which I appreciate very much!

One of our Favorite places. We love the pies and the gravy just adds to it, usually leave with 6 or more frozen pies to take home.

Their special has been the same for almost 10 years. The food is not always that fresh, and when it is, it doesn't make THAT big a difference. Man Pies is like that ex-significant other than you keep crawling back to because you remember it was so good and you had such a good time together and then you get there and you're like “damn. This was what I liked so much about you?” It's just underwhelming and overall not that great. It's much cheaper, albeit more time consuming, and much more delicious to just make your own meat pies at home.

Yummy. We ordered delivery through Viking Food, and it was a delicious meal. Since we got delivery, I can't speak to the ambiance or service, but our food was delivered fairly quickly and was delicious.

These pies are absolutely declicous! The chicken curry one is my favorite. They have a good assortment of bottled drinks available for purchase. Or they provide water at no cost. They also compost and recycle. Although it is a very small building so not very well suited for large groups of people, it is it cozy cute unique little store. I am always very full and satisfied when we got out to eat there. You can also buy their pies Frozen to make quick, delicious dinners at home.

Excellent pies that with a salad make a complete meal. Better than pies my husband and I had in Australia.

I am a British expat and love my pies. It is hard to get a good savoury meat pie in the US. I usually make my own but when in town and need my comfort food this is where I go.

Our son went to WWU and we first tried man pies then. On a recent trip to Canada, stored on the way home for dinner. Just as yummy a we remembered. bought an extra to take home for lunch the next day.!

A friend had raved about this place a few years ago, then revised it to "It's OK, but not worth a special trip", and then "Well, if you're in downtown B'ham and you're hungry.....it's OK". My sentiments exactly after my first visit. I got the Chicken Curry, which was pretty much full of chicken, but which didn't taste, or even smell of curry. I got chicken gravy on it, which was bland and tasteless, on a par with KFC, except less flavor. The pastry shell? They make a big deal
