The soups were amazing! Definitely made me want to come back. The Poutine wasn't my favorite(something about the gravy didn't taste right to me) but as a Canadian I applaud this charming diner for aiming to be authentic with its Poutine take.
We visited Nelson's Market for the 1st time on Saturday for brunch. We were looking for a place to eat and found it on a google search and so glad we did. Wow, what a gem! This place is so cool! The food and service was impeccable. Such nice people. Thank you for chatting with us, Ben. Great place you have and we can't wait to come back!

I've been going to Nelson's Market and bringing my kids for years, but yesterday disappointed me. I received a cup of coffee in a mug with a very obvious, clear-as-day lipstick print on the rim, which was kindly set right in front of me. I pointed it out to the server who took it away immediately, with apologies. What sat with me, is that there is a clear process/procedural problem in the kitchen if clean and dirty dishes are comingled enough to produce that type of mistake. The rest of my meal was spent unsettled, thinking that any of the dishes could be equally filthy but with no obvious lipstick marks to distinguish them.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Gorgeous historic building with a curated menu of favorites. The kitchen is small so be prepared to enjoy your time while they work through everyone’s orders. The pancakes were a standout, super fluffy and delicately tangy. You can tell the batter is made fresh and by an expert. Love this spot!

Our go to place for dairy free wings. They also have great burgers and awesome beer on tap.

Laid back and chill, nice place to pop in on a sunny day. They have good food and a whole market to browse for drinks and snacks!

I had a lovely time here, especially in the company of a young worker named Orion. Shout out to José in the kitchen as well.

First time getting breakfast here and it was great. Loved the space and plenty of inside and outside space to have breakfast. We will definitely come back! We had the burrito and supreme eggs benedict!
Good food but it took over an hour for food to come out on a Saturday
I do not know when flat bread is classified as a biscuit, but this place has made that decision for me. $18 for something I can only call indistinguishable goo that was to be gravy, which thankfully was only a 1/4 of a cup, I hate to waste food and fried heels of the loaf of bread as a biscuit. Calling it flat bread was a compliment now that I think about it. The sausage was a glob of meat that tasted like a fried canned dog food, I have experienced that taste as a joke. This whole meal was an absolute waste of time and money.**EDIT for response**
I gave the staff a 4 star rating BUT certainly would take that away with Ben's inability to take CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. Please see the pics of the indistinguishable goo and the heels of bread. Ben you certainly do not have to be concerned with my ever returning to that place that is filled with an inability to be able to accept CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK.
This is a fun place with a great vibe. I saw their menu that stated to ask about vegan options so I was hopeful they had more than the oatmeal listed. They really did not. You can get a breakfast burrito consisting of grilled veggies and potatoes. But no scrambled tofu or vegan cheese. Pancakes and waffles do not have a vegan option. I had the oatmeal, which they prep with oat milk for a non-dairy option, along with some vegan sausage for some protein. The coffee was good, and my omnivore dining partner was pleased with the biscuits and gravy platter with potatoes and eggs. Vegans can find something to eat here if they need to go out with omnivores, but keep expectations low.
