Came in for a quick bite to eat - not a review of goods.
1. Service: Gentleman who took our order was very unenthused. I get if youre having a bad day, but man, at least attempt to have some customer service skills.
2. Food: Two small gyros for $35, $39 plus tip. Seriously? Additionally, gentleman told me that the red colored toothpick was the beef gyro. When we bit in, it was the lamb. It was delicious though.

Can’t believe we’ve lived right down the street for two years and have never been here! The lamb shawarma was delicious and there were tons of imported goodies to look at. The portion was a little small for the price (the shawarma is about $16) but worth every bite in my opinion. We will absolutely be back!

Staff were very friendly but I couldn't order any food after I saw the prep lady using her fingers to taste /eat the prepped food then went on prepping more food and then at one point she was picking her teeth with the same finger and then again went on to prep food again. No washing, No gloves, No hair net. It was GROSSSSSS! Please do better.

Dorine created the perfect catering menu for our 18 guests and

Not only was the presentation pretty, the guests could not stop raving bout how fresh, healthy, and tasty the food was. (We ordered spanakopita, trio dip, the cous cous (amazing), chicken kebabs, vegetarian dolma, and of course the baklava)

A true hidden gem of Bellingham. Great gyros and Mediterranean deli food. The baklava is insane. Great place to find unique wines and all sorts of Mediterranean grocery goods.

This was incredible! The woman running it was informative and friendly. I had the falafel wrap, so tasty and fresh. The shop itself is full to the brim with ingredients that are hard to find state side. They also sell in house made soups and other items. Will be returning next time we go to town.

It was my first that I've been to Mediterranean Specialties Cafe.
I ordered 2 chicken gyros for just under $30 & was very very disappointed. It was a lot of lettuce & barely any grilled chicken. Wow! what a unbelievable joke on their portion size. I was completely disappointed & won't be back again. I highly suggest not wasting your money & to go somewhere else.

It is more of a Mediterranean specialty market than a restaurant. However, food is prepared & served in a delicatessen-like manner. Adequate tables are available for indoor seating. The lamb shawarma wrap is good.

I've updated my review with a deletion of 1 star for both Food & Service. In my most recent visit, the shawarma wrap fell apart & the lamb seemed chopped to the tiniest pieces. Service wasn't friendly or attentive. Did my business interfere with their day?

One of the worst shawarma, I ever had

Came here for lunch - friendly staff! We got the hummus and pita + chicken pita wrap. Usually at Mediterranean spots, the pita is warmed. This pita was not only thin, but cold and chewy. Same goes for the pita wrap. It almost reminded me of a cold, wheat tortilla. Also, extremely overpriced. While we appreciate the friendly staff, we won’t be coming back.

I love their home made soups and that you can buy them with EBT from the freezer. They have good spice mixes and other things like dates and lingonberry jam. They are such nice people! :)

Great place for a mediterranean lunch (better than other greek places in town imo). The cafe foods are priced well! There’s a huge selection of mediterranean goods as well.

I had an amazing experience at Mediterranean Specialties Café and Goods! I stopped in for a Lebanese coffee and a piece of their wonderful baklava—both were absolutely delicious.

On top of that, I found some hard-to-find items, including my favorite sea salt, which was a pleasant surprise.

Everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit even better. I left with a big smile and will definitely be back! Highly recommend! ❤️

This little store is a total gem. They have grocery specialty items you cant find anywhere else that will take your cooking to a new level. They have dine in, take out & even frozen meals you can take home. This has been a great option for my family on nights where we don't want to cook but also don't want your average restaurant take-out that ends up $80+ and nowhere near as delicious as what you can find here. It's a small business that feels very family oriented, so if it's extra busy or a little disorganized be patient & you will be rewarded!
