Penny Farthing Bar & Restaurant

Good, but pricey food ($26 for four ribs) and mostly good service tonight. I'm giving three stars instead of four because their house made vodka ruined my beverage. It has a bitter woody flavor that would might work in a bloody mary or other savory cocktail, but was horrible in a vodka soda and would probably ruin a sweet drink. I'm surprised that it's their default choice and that the server didn't mention the flavor of it at the time of ordering.

Great place for amazing cocktails (I got the Golden Hour) and good food. It was busy night and we were seated at the bar area, tucked behind the stairs. It was a small table but it was sheltered from the building's drafts.

That let us relax and really enjoy our drinks and food without freezing to death. I love the space, but dress warmly (you've been warned).

We had 2 rounds of drinks, oysters on the half shell, followed by a charcuterie board. We capped off our food with sliders and the potatoes. All of it, delicious.

Our server was attentive and did a great job making sure we were topped off and if we had anything more to order.

This place is very nice! It has a cozy industrial feel. Really cool building with large windows to view distillery. Parking could be a challenge but we eventually found something somewhat close. They have Whisky choices along with the Distillery's whisky. They also have a great Happy hour menu.

Cool spot to have dinner after the distillery tour. The small menu and different offerings from the typical bar fare was refreshing. Had gnocchi mac, meatball appetizer, caesar salads and we tried the pot still pizza pie. We liked everything but the pizza - it tasted good but was the size of a small tea saucer with hardly any toppings except cheese. Overpriced and definitely not enough for two. Stick to the other menu items. Drinks here are very well done and feature chuckanut bay spirits.

We (family of 4) walked in at 2:15 on Saturday afternoon.. definitely not a busy time. Got seated right away but couldn't even get a server to come to our table for even a drink order after 15 minutes. Ridiculously bad service. We walked out. I will never try this place again or refer anyone to it.

Nice intimate atmosphere. Lot of boomers dining. Took a long time to be seated. Front of the house just didn't seem to have it together, who blows all 4 of their kegs during the middle of dinner rush? Food was disappointing. The crab bisque tasted like it was seasoned as chili with crab added, wasn't my style. Consistency seems to be an issue, since my crab bisque looked nothing like review Daniel's below. Charcuterie was good for the price, though it was odd that the brie was served cold and not warmed/melted and off that we were served Parmesan wedges. Spirits were good.

I visited Penny Farthing Bar recently and was really impressed by the wide selection of cocktails and mocktails—they have something for everyone! The service was absolutely amazing. Both the hostess and server went out of their way to accommodate a special request I had, which made the experience feel even more personal.

The whiskey queso dip was a highlight, easily a 10/10, and I'd come back just for that. However, my main course, the ribs, fell short. They were very tough, and even with extra sauce, I could barely eat more than one. On the bright side, the potatoes and veggies that came with the dish were fantastic.

All in all, great atmosphere and drinks, but I’d recommend skipping the ribs.

Everything was very good. Pizza, bourbon, appetizers. Surprisingly the standout was the Caesar salad. I'm not sure how it was different. But I'll definitely order it again

We hosted our wedding reception here and they were truly such a delight to work with. The food and drinks were incredible and the space was perfect. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Had a lovely time at Penny Farthing. Very cool metal decorations. Cocktails were amazing and nicely priced. I definitely recommend the gnocchi Mac and cheese and the pull apart. The sirloin sliders were delicious but hard to take a bite. Maybe if they cut the pieces. Once you get a bite it was very tender to chew. Crab bisque was delicious with a couple bits of shell which don’t bother me but knocks it down from perfection. We obviously chose some pretty heavy dishes and were glad the portions were modest. We’ll definitely go back!

I often am searching for new places to try. I am gluten free and I am always in search of food that I don't make well at home. Most places offer the same thing, but this place has dishes that are very simply to turn gluten free, where most restaurants just don't. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were hand crafted. Nice atmophere, with a view of their distillery. We will definatley be going back.
Very reasonably priced.
