Ponderosa Beer and Books

I Absolutely love this place. They consistently have the best tap list in town. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. And the space is bright and inviting! Definitely stop in for a great draft beer and friendly conversation!

Great atmosphere, needs more books, but great start. I imagine upstairs being wall to wall books😍

I love going to Ponderosa! Whether it's by myself, with friends or date night. Their atmosphere is awesome, great selection of drinks and little snack items. Plus weekly silent book club is fantastic. All the staff that I've met there is super friendly and chill. A go-to spot for me!

Tried to throw some business at a local. The beer selection was mediocre. The place has a sterile vibe with a Seattle freeze from the owner. Skip this place

Ponderosa is an incredibly welcoming, cozy and comfortable place. Whether you are looking to grab a drink, appetizers or just read a book it’s got something for everyone (including dogs). As mentioned by others- the owner and staff are always friendly and hospitable!

Any day I am fortunate enough to visit Ponderosa is better for it.

I order beer from here and then I get a beer from them. That's pretty freaking awesome if you ask me.
But for real, best draft list in town by a mile.

This is another one of those fabulous bars that feels like a coffee shop. The owner is just lovely, and they are often having wonderful events like book swaps and craft fairs. Very dog friendly!

Cute place to grab a quick beer if you're down that way, but not worth going out of your way for...Service, owners, are GREAT, beer selection is average, interior is nice, but poor location if you want to sit outside on a nice day.

Most expensive beer I have seen in Bellingham. $9; really?

I hosted my wedding welcome event here and Jessie could not have been more accommodating - if you are looking for a gathering spot for a larger group, look no further. This is a great space to utilize for events in Bellingham within walking distance of the water. Plus, the beer is excellent and you are supporting women owned business!
