Great spot to chill with friends anytime! And make new friends too! đ€© Come in on a weeknight, shoot pool, unwind, listen to good music and have a drink made by the best bartenders in Bellingham!
Weekends there's always a fun crowd. Dance, shows, FUN! đ
Rumors is the worst! It used to be my home away from home. Now, it's not even a safe place for gay people. I give it negative 3 stars. Whatever you do, don't let the people who have supported you for 40 years in your bar!
I love this place usually but I went last night and was cut off after two drinks and when I tried explaining that Iâm just a bit buzzed not drunk Iâm sometimes awkward and Iâm on the spectrum so sometimes people think I act a bit off but they just kept handing me water acting like I was smashed and then proceeded to ignore me and continue taking drink orders. That kinda ruined my night when I didnât even get the chance to socialize or hit the dance floor. I ended up having to leave early and I wonât be coming back here after that experience sadly.
I've been coming to rumors for years, albeit sporadically, and tonight was my worst ever experience. Becky tried to steal money frome me, called me a liar, and accused me of having an attitude. I am autistic and she needs to learn how to handle autistic visors without stealing or lying.
Theo was the most amazing bouncer. Literally give them a raise. So sweet, so nice, and so communicative about the rules of rumors, they are AMAZING.
Extremely rude bouncer, was here for Halloween weekend and they were insanely rude to people in line. The bouncer was going down the line checking for IDs and would be super demeaning and harsh to people that couldnât be let in. They were also a bouncer for boundary bay after-sounds a year ago and I assume got let go because of their harsh personality.
The bouncer is tall with a boy cut, and I think their name starts with a T, so if you see them at the door donât even bother talking to them. They are so mean for no reason.
Will not be coming back here again until they are gone :( such a shame because I loved coming here for a safe space!
Music could use an upgrade and modernization. What gay bar plays generic songs and barely plays Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Britney, etc?? Every 5th song is fun but then it's just mid again. Straightest gay bar in town unfortunately. Can still be a good time though if you have realistic expectations. Staff is efficient and friendly enough.
Amazing club, amazing shows, and the owners are awesome.
Cover charge varies somewhat unpredictably. Music is mediocre for the most part and drinks aren't the cheapest. Can be dead or can be insanely packed. Can be fun it's kind if a gamble.
Visited for the first time on Saturday (10/18) and was asked to leave less than an hour after arriving and paying to enter. Staff claimed I was showing signs of being intoxicated, but I wasnât being loud, disruptive, or stumbling. I wasnât even holding a drink at the time and I was there with both of my parents. I could understand being asked to leave if I were causing a problem, but I wasnât. The whole situation felt unfair. Not sure if they had confused me with someone else. Very disappointing experience.

Can't say enough good things about this place. My first time in last night definitely will not be my last. The vibes and the music were popping. I never once felt unsafe there, and honestly ive never felt more comfortable in a bar/club scene, than here. The owner Rian personally gave me a free water bottle just because I said I was really thirsty and needed water, he walks around the club to make sure things are going well and you can tell they genuinely care. Can't wait to come back for zombie prom!
I had a really disappointing experience here. My first margarita was made perfectly by a newer bartender who was doing a great job. A little later, a different bartender made me another margarita that came out orange-tinted. I had told him multiple times that I just wanted a regular margarita with no flavors added, but he kept serving it with orange juice. When I asked him politely to remake it without the orange juice, he insisted âthatâs how we make it here,â which made no sense since Iâd already had one made the way I asked.
I wasnât trying to argue or get a free drink â I was literally asking for less in my glass, especially since I was paying for top shelf tequila. The bartender told me to talk to the manager, who came over, gave me a dead stare, rolled his eyes, and finally agreed to have it remade. The whole exchange felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, and it really soured my night.
As someone who seeks out queer spaces hoping for community and care, I left feeling the opposite. It was disheartening to be treated with that kind of attitude in a place that should feel welcoming.
Not really a gay club, more of a gay themed college bar. Last time I went it was primarily under 21 college kids. Music was decent but if you're looking for a gay club that is not mostly college kids and where being gay doesnt just feel like a theme, drive to Vancouver BC or Seattle.
Drag nights are fun.
The last few times I've been there I've had the same problem. The vibe for me is generally great. Check in is easy and friendly, bartender is a familiar face, and overall the space is a safe one. The music however has been lacking. One minute you'll be dancing and the next minute you'll lose it. It could just be myself and my friends but the transitions between the music and music itself has been really loosing the dancefloor vibe for me.
