The shortness and rudeness of the women on the phone and at the office almost caused me to just keep my box of things to shred forever. They made the process harder than it needed to be. It's actualy simple. If you have things to shred, all you have to do is pull up to the front office. Go inside and explain that you have things to shred. They bring out a pretty good sized trash bin recycling bin thing like the ones you would have at home for your yard waste, and it's thirty six dollars. They put a lock on the bin and take it. you go inside and pay. The way the woman explained on the phone sounded like some horrible and stressful experience. And kept cutting me off when i tried to ask questions and rushibg me off the phone. I don't know why She didn't say it was just a trash can that they bring out for you to fill up. She kept calling it something else and saying you had to put it in a crate and bring it out your car yourself and wait extra long. And then she kept saying that you had to wait in a long line which was not even what happened. I'm not sure if this woman who works the phones has ever seen the shredding experience at the company. Maybe she just wanted to scare people off so she wasn't bothered. she shouldn't be on the phone giving people instructions because i was looking for any other place to go to than here because of her attitude. I know it's a trash and recycling place. But people could at least be more courteous and helpful. I expect great customer service at any place that I go to. this is not one of those places for that but in the end they shredded my things which is what i needed done. if you really just need a flat rate for shredding a large amount of things it's worth going to just get it done. But trying to talk on the phone and at the office desk with the women there to get help is like talking to someone from hell. If people don't like their jobs or like customers giving them business they should move on for the people that do. The female staff just complicated everything for no reason.

Out Garbage gets picked up every Monday. So we put our trash out on Sunday. It's Tuesday and the trash has still not come. So I called and the very rude lady that answered said, "well it shows that they did come." Ok well as I'm looking around I can see that no one on the whole block has had their trash picked up either. I said this kindly. But she became very snappy and rude. I don't like starting my day out angry. Seriously take this lady off your phones.

Pick up was missed and then rescheduled. Driver claimed that garbage can was not out by 7am. So rescheduled pickup was canceled without letting us know. Both garbage and recycling were out before 7am.

Never left a negative review before. Actually posted on here a few years ago complimenting the great driver who picks up our trash. But our last experience has been very disappointing. Over Christmas our neighborhood went without service for two week after a snow storm, resulting in 4 weeks between our garbage pickups. We understood it was unique circumstances and did not complain. One month later in we received an additional charge on our bill for extra service. When I called to ask what the charge was for, I was told it was because my lid did not shut all the way on the garbage can. I was politely told that that was their policy, and she was unable to change it. Very shortsighted customer service, and I will be looking into the local recycling and waste site in Ferndale.

It's understandable that pickup was cancelled when the snow made driving conditions hazardous. It's not understandable that no adjustment was made to the bill due to the failure to pick-up. Yes, they are coming the following the week for the garbage, which they do anyway because many people have weekly pick-up, but the compost and recycling have to wait until the next regular pick-up, which is not great following the holidays. Of course, we can take these things ourselves to their facilities and, hey, they won't charge us!

I was billed for services that were not provided and furthermore charged additional fees, even though I have placed waste on the curb the same way I did the month prior.Also, or some reason SSC didn't come to my neighborhood last Wednesday, even though the area was accessible.If I am going to be charged erroneous fees and for services that were not provided, I will take my waste to the dump like I've already been forced to.

I've never had any issues with pickup, I set the can out after the truck went by a couple times and the driver will get it on his way out of the neighborhood instead of making me suffer with my mistake. Thank you for putting in the extra effort my wife and I appreciate it so much!

I never know if the bill is paid because I live in supported living. My trash is weekly and there have been times they forgotten it.

Lots of little misteps with this company when it comes to billing, pickups and communication. Never utilize the autopay system and good luck on getting someone helpful and polite on the phone when you call with questions. The drivers are nicer and more helpful than the phone customer service representatives.
