Sol De Mexico Family Mexican Restaurant

Been driving by this place for a few years and finally decided to give it a try. Ordered los dos enamorados (carne asada and bacon wrapped shrimp). It was good, and more or less what I would expect at a Mexican restaurant in the Pacific Northwest. It was enough food for two especially with the chips and salsa. Was bummed that they didn't make the corn tortillas from scratch but they were still decent. Salsa and chips were good. We also got the flan and that was good. The place is a little rough, booths in rough shape and windows with some holes, but sort of makes it feel like Mexico. The service was great, fast and friendly. We were the only ones in the restaurant.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at this establishment, and unfortunately, the experience was a letdown. The food quality was subpar, and it seemed like you truly get what you pay for.

*Food Quality*
- The chips tasted more like fried fish than tortilla chips, which was bizarre.
- The carne asada was poorly cooked, with the meat being undercooked and almost breaking apart. It was also very thin.
- The queso was flavorless and had a strange flour taste. It lacked diced chiles or any noticeable seasoning.
- The rice had zero flavor, and while the beans were passable, they didn't save the meal.

*Service*
- The service was slow, which added to the overall frustration.
- The place had a noticeable odor of uncleanliness, which raised concerns about the kitchen's hygiene.

*Dessert*
- The cute little ice cream on a cinnamon chip they brought out at the end tasted like fried fish as well, which was a strange and unpleasant surprise.

Overall, I would not recommend this place due to the poor food quality, slow service, and questionable cleanliness.

Great family restaurant

Avoid this place at all costs. Food is horrible, no exaggerating. Not authentic in the least. The chile rellenos was a mess, canned beans, the carne asada was freezer burned chipped beef. We didn't even take it for the dogs. Margaritas were premix at 22.00 each. DO NOT GO HERE. Kitchen is filthy.

Fresh, flavorful, and affordable. The decor is dated but colorful, and the service, while a bit slow, reflects the care in preparation—our tomatoes were freshly cut to order. Portions are flexible; they added extra beans when we skipped the rice. A solid choice for a casual, unpretentious meal.

Brown guacamole. Found a bug in the salsa. Women’s bathroom didn’t have toilet paper in either stall. We were overcharged a few dollars for every single item we ordered. They were out of half the stuff on the menu. We were sick after the dinner.

The staff and food are fantastic and they are so nice. They care about their customers.?

I’ve been coming here on a regular basis since 2009, friendly service tasty grub and a touch and an atmosphere of ole Meccio to the restaurant together with Mexican folk music as such.

Parking: It’s a spacious restaurant with spacious parking lot. Parking no problem.

Wheelchair accessibility: Someone would need to hold the door but it is a flat level surface from the parking lot, through the door and into the restaurant and with ends to each table.

If u are looking for REAL AUTHENTIC Mexican food u are either going to right restaurant! Or already leave there, there food is GREAT! REAL AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD! FAVORABLE! Really nice people there! Do there job good,!!! See u all soon. Thanks for the food

Hugely disappointing food but the flan is pretty damn good.
