I’m deeply disappointed in the service I received this morning at my neighborhood Starbucks by the barista Devon. Here’s why:
I always place my order before I leave home. My house is max 5 minutes away. I usually go in very early because I work in North Seattle. I went through the drive-through at 4:49 am, when my order said it would be ready. When I got up to the window, Devon handed me my order. Devon took it on himself to give me a low-key lecture on waiting longer before I come through the drive-thru to give them more time. Even though:
1. I was at the window at 4:51 am - 2 minutes after the app said my order would be ready (mind you, I have no issue waiting- my frustration here was an employee being rude in coaching a customer about mobile order timing— when in fact the issue was on his part. I told Devon in a nice way that I thought that was pretty rude especially to say to a daily customer. I literally spend thousands at Sbux each year.
2. After all of that, he forgot to include my hot sauce that was listed on the order.
It may sound silly, but when someone treats you this way at the one place you look forward to going before a long drive to work, waiting in traffic, etc.- it just puts my day off on a bad start.
To make matters worse— the other employees in there - who are normally very nice, gave me bad looks — I had to gently beep the horn to get someone’s attention about my order not having everything in it. Has this drive-thru issue been a “problem” all along when I’ve followed the guidelines? Why wouldn't they check in their system to see when my order should be ready or check with tech support?
I’m sitting here about 30 minutes after this happened wondering why someone would take time to lecture a customer on such a trivial matter — when it wasn’t even my fault in the first place. My concern is how mindset— why would he think that was appropriate - again, especially considering they had not long ago opened and weren’t busy- and once more, I was following the instructions on the app.

I was a barista for 10 years and I regularly go to coffee stands and I have never encountered more rude baristas than the ones that work at this location: other locations in town they are fine. From an emergency room nurse: if you do not like the public do not work with the public.

I ordered 4 to-go caraffes yesterday morning for pick-up this morning. When I arrived at 7:15am to pick up and pay for the order, the barista told me she had no record of the order and that the shop's coffee maker was broken. It was like a bad joke. Total failure, leaving me to scramble to provide coffee for my 8am event.

Don't go here, they make you a cold drink when it's freezing outside. Ordered a hot one thru the app and didn't have time to wait for it to be remade bc I'm clocking into work right now. Couldn't refund me and the app sucks so you can't get a refund in a timely manner there either.

Just wanted to shout out Riley for being such an incredibly friendly barista. Absolutely made my day. The coffee is good too, no complaints
Worst customer service of any location I've ever visited. Baristas are consistently rude, get orders wrong close to 100% of the time, then have further attitude when you ask for your order to be fixed. I have been here about 5-10 times over the span of two years and every single interaction has been negative. Awful.

These people were so much fun to deal with. They joyfully and eagerly accommodated my strange request. They were the bright spot in my stay in Bellingham.

saw the barista touched INSIDE her nose, before making my drink. both beverages tasted like nose and we had to pour out. absolutely revolting and management should pay better attention. i do not know her name
