Fun concept with good vibes. Team was welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was good. We thought it was expensive for what one got. Most items can be made vegan with an additional charge. We find this to be a vegan tax.

This brunch spot has a spunky ambiance and an eclectic vibe that sets it apart. I tried the Canadian Quesadilla, which was enjoyable, though I would’ve appreciated a bit more bacon. The extra 1.5 tablespoons of maple syrup came with a $2.50 charge, which felt a bit steep, so I wouldn’t recommend adding it. Overall, it’s worth a visit, but probably just a one-time experience for me.

Kid-friendliness: Seating is not incredibly kid friendly

Was a warm meal on a cold night. Very delicious. And they put a dinosaur on my waffle, which was adorable and also coincidentally my favorite dinosaur, an ankylosaurus :) I would’ve taken a photo, because it was awesome, but my phone was dead. I got the Peachy Keen without almonds.

This place is small but cozy. They not only serve delicious waffles but also support local nonprofit organizations. We ordered both savory and sweet dishes, and they were all great. We’ll definitely go there again.

Every time I come here the vibes are immaculate. The employees have exquisite taste in music and you can really tell they care about making your experience worthwhile. They also gave me great recommendations for places to visit around town.

It’s such a chill restaurant; you order at the kiosk and they give you a funky ticket number. Sometimes when it’s busy the wait time can be longer than 15 minutes but with such a small, open kitchen layout it’s easy to kill time by watching the waffle wizards work their magic!! They deliver your food and drinks and they have you bus your own tables. As a business they take complaints very seriously and if you’re not satisfied with your waffle they always have a satisfactory solution!!

10/10 would come again. Thanks Sweet As!!!

Vegetarian options: There is plenty of ways to substitute to accommodate vegetarian diet

Dietary restrictions: Would not recommend to celiacs due to cross contamination BUT if you let them know your restrictions they are very accommodating

Kid-friendliness: Each waffle comes with a fun dino you can keep or recycle

Wheelchair accessibility: Small corridor to get to the back of the restaurant but a wheelchair fits and they can move chairs around to accommodate you to a table.

Loved the skeleton dinos on the waffles for Halloween. I don't come here as often due to the price and lack of protein in the food. I'm usually hungry again soon after leaving here. Definitely fun to go to every once in a while though and I love their drinks :)

Our son wanted to eat lunch at Sweet As Waffles before his official tour of Western Washington University. Who wouldn't love to be in a cozy eatery surrounded by healthy plants, dinosaurs, and smiles? We were delighted by how well the crispy golden waffles contrasted with our individual selections for sandwich makings. They've done an excellent job creating a menu full of comforting and original combinations.

I haven't been to the physical location yet and have only used delivery for the waffles.

The Tiramisurous Rex waffle is amazing. It's so decadent and delicious. My only regret is never choosing to share it, eating the whole thing, and being overstuffed. Would do it again.

I've also been collecting the tiny plastic dino toy they include... what do I do with them!?

Our son chose Sweet As Waffles for lunch before our official tour of Western Washington University and what a great decision. Golden, crispy waffles holding intriguing combos made for some delicious sandwiches. Served with dinosaurs and smiles, and the best lemonade around!

I was a bit skeptical of getting a savory waffle sandwich, but it was amazing! I had the vegan Morning Glory and the waffles were a perfect mix of fluffy and crunchy, the soy curls (from Sammie’s, I believe) were delish. Sandwiches also come with a tiny dinosaur toy. On doordash, only about 3 savory vegan waffles are listed, but there are more that can be veganized in person. Haven’t yet tried a sweet vegan waffle but it is my understanding that the batter and whipped cream for any waffle can be veganized. Updated from previous review on 2024-11-06
