We were customers of whole food in Florida and NJ. I must say we are very disappointed by the one in Bellingham. This Friday we went to buy fish around 4 PM. The choice was very limited. However, my wife asked for mussels. half of the mussels were opened...meaning not fresh at all. My wife had to ask to not have the dead one. The answer was "this will take time...". I am stunned that a store like whole food even proposes to customers seafood that is obviously not fresh!

We have frequented Whole Foods since it’s start in Bellingham. While the grocery choices are still good we’ve noticed a very inconsistent food quality in the food service area; specifically the pizza quality is becoming worse than most chains. You really never know how your slice is going to taste, the dough is inconsistent. One day crispy the next time chewy?

These pictures don't look anything like the food that is served there.

I have been wanting to update the review after Amazon's purchase as there have been a few changes as a result. My utter and complete disapointment has resulted in a decrease of my rating. Why? 1. The tortilla options are narrowed to either flour or whole wheat tortilla. No more spinach tortilla option as well as others. 2. No more asada steak! And a few other meat changes. Seems there is a ground beef option instead, not so nice after the amazing grilled and sliced steak option! 3. No more burrito card. You cannot collect 10 stamps and trade them in for a free burrito anymore. My cards are useless now.

Quality of Whole Foods has gone down. Shelves not being stocked. Vegetables were better quality across the street at Fred Meyer. Still carries their good hummus which I really like. I was very disappointed in this store.

I love everything about this place! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! Great selection! You can order an entire delicious, catered vegan feast to pick up for the holidays with mushroom stuffing and mashed cauliflower and gravy! And all their prepared foods are so delicious... Do I even have to mention their bakery...?!?? Best bakery ever! Wood fired pizza is tooooo good (although they don't have a plain brown Mustard, like a non-spicy Brown Mustard, so let me know where in town I can get that...?)

Sadly they have let me down over and over again. I really want to love them, they are close to my house and I like the IDEA/CONCEPT of the store's high quality standards. First, I came home to find my brand new bread moldy, then I came home with sausage that was over a week past its good by date. Then, as I was purchasing halibut, the fish monger told me not to worry- he removed the gigantic worm that was on the halibut for me. I honestly almost threw up right then. I know those things might be a reality, but please do not tell your customer that their food had a huge worm on it right before handing it over to them to eat for dinner. The kicker was this past weekend when I purchased 2 dungeness crabs, had them cleaned at the store for us. Got home and BOTH of the crabs were green and rotten, smelling of ammonia. Clearly the man cleaning the crabs should've noticed this. It was really quite obvious - Crab meat should not be green. So, he either was not paying attention AT ALL, or decided he didn't want to deal with it. When customer service was told, they of course offered a refund, but I honestly was not impressed with the attitude. Bottom line, I hope they improve- I would really love to continue to go here, but they truly have to step things up... A LOT. For the amount they charge, things should absolutely be in tip top shape, no question.

Went to Whole Foods on a Friday night to pick up some fresh desserts as well as some milk and fresh fruit for the morning. Also went back in the morning to get everything we needed which was a latte, breakfast sandwich, croissants and from the buffet some bacon and scrambled eggs. Hit the spot, it was delicious.

My son and I often come here when we can agree on what to eat for dinner. We each buy what we want and eat at the food court. I usually go for the salad bar and my son either pizza or tacos (with some of my salad). I think their salad bar is decent. A good section of fresh veggies along with a good number of protein potions. The hot bar is not very impressive I have to say. They don't seem to sell them food fast enough; so, some of them don't look fresh. Also, I recommend you to stay away from "ethnic" hot food, like Indian food, because they are almost alway terrible. We sometimes go to the bakery after dinner and buy something for dessert. I wouldn't say their food is excellent, but it's convenient. You can get what you want and however the amount you want. I also like the lively atmosphere of the food court. It's often crowded but you can alway find seat. ***************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews. UPDATE: Whole Foods customer service passed me off to the Store Manager Otto who couldn't be bothered to A: Get my name right or B: Do anything at all. Zero response after I informed him he got my name wrong. Shame. Not professional. I SO wanted to love this Whole Foods but every single time I visit I get my hopes destroyed. Let's skip past the employees who obviously hate the place and their discussions of a "points system" whatever that is and move onto the fact that they never seem ready to be busy. Pictures WILL follow every point here. Empty pizza trays at 11:45am staying empty until past noon. Burrito station with the monitors not working so you don't know what you can add to your bowl/burrito. Attitude coming in the form of "the choices are listed above" and when I point out the broken monitor they simply say " again?" Amazing. Just what I want to hear as a customer. Empty shelves and a constant herd of upper management who block the isles I'm trying to shop in. Jesus get a conference room instead of getting in the way of people who are actively trying to give you money. When I brought up my concerns they try to throw a gift card at me, which I don't want. I want competent management like they have at other locations and a staff that actually cares.
