It can be a bit loud and cramped, and it's been very hot the times I've been there (don't wear a heavy coat if you can help it). Great shows at Oddfellows though, and I haven't had any issues with the staff personally. Cassiopeia out front and Oddfellows Punch in the back are both good drinks for those who aren't a big fan of drinking (very sweet).
I wish I could leave 0 stars. The bar tender turned away my friend with a valid ID. Because it didn’t match her checklist. With no other way to validate the ID. We then tried to ask if there was another way to validate the ID and she had a horrible attitude. We asked for her name. And she refused to give it. She had brown hair and ear piercings working Friday night may 24th. Pretty sad since I’ve heard good things about the bar. But maybe educate your bar tenders. And invest in an ID scanner.
If I could leave a 0 star I would. My friend showed his valid ID and refused service. We asked if we could scan it or have anyone else come to check it because we heard it was a good vibe in there. She immediately got super defensive and talked crap with other customers and kicked out friend out. When we asked for her name she kicked everyone else out and started then talking crap with other customers saying we were rude when we were very polite in asking if there’s any other way or form before refusing service. TERRIBLE service from a shorter brunette worker there. We came from out of town and would have loved to experience it but will never be returning due to how rude the employee got. This was the night of 5/24/25 so if this is later I’m sure the place is great after she’s gone.
Short brunette was extremely rude, she refused to scan my ID and then made customers yell at us. She wouldn’t have a conversation even though I had a valid ID and caroused customers to yell at us to leave when we were being very respectful and just asking if she had any other way to check an ID
My daughter recommended this place to me forever ago, and I finally made a visit a few weeks ago. Great vibe, friendly service, and low prices, especially on the pool table.
Absolutely worth stopping in!
I don’t drink now but this place was fun the one time we tried it out several years ago. I loved the cozy starry vibes. They have vegan options, heck yeah.
Great hotdogs, good music.....cool place.
adding this spot to my bellingham rotation! cocktails are affordable (insanely cheap during happy hour) and the service was great. the additional bar in the back area was amazing as well and there was free live music.

Since they opened up the Oddfellows Temple Room in the back, Orion has transformed from a cute but cramped bar into a spacious venue and one of my favorite places to get a drink in the city.

Great fun place for a night out with friends. It can get pretty busy in here and crowded. The drink selection is good with affordable prices

Idk why there are bad reviews. Been here 2 times with my husband and they are so kind. Hmm.
Good drink prices and snack prices, drop shot is delicious
As a local to Bellingham, I was so disappointed with my experience at Orion. I was hosting a group of friends from out of state (this was our first stop of the night), and while trying to remember a large order of 8 drinks, I incorrectly said one drink wrong (accidentally said “Tito’s and Vodka” instead of “Tito’s and Soda”).
Rather than the bartender asking for clarification, he immediately refused to serve me and said I was over-served and looked under the influence.
As a completely sober and responsible adult, I was shocked and embarrassed in front of my guests. And especially felt judged for how I looked.
Horrible experience in such a “inclusive” town. I do not recommend this location.
