The Royal is a classic Bellingham party location. Been around for a long time and my favorite thing about them is that they have many different spaces and bars to explore. The music always hits, & the bartenders are always so polite and patient!

I am not a night club person, but I had fun here and I think this is a spot for people of all age group (adult of course). They have a dance floor area, beer pong and pool, and areas just to chill and enjoy a drink and chat. Plus, the bathrooms are clean! Haha The bartender was really nice he made me this Sunset drink that was on special on their board that tasted like an Orange creamsicle! It was just missing the whipped cream. They have a jukebox you can play and if you have the app you can connect to it through your phone. Great spot. We live pretty far away, but plan to return!

Got dress coded for wearing the same attire as the majority of the fem presenting folks there. No issue with having a dress code, but enforcing it by how masc/fem the patron presents is in poor taste in a town like Bellingham. Unfortunately not the most LGBTQ friendly location in my opinion, and a truly disappointing experience for a night out on the town.

it's a pretty place and one of the bartenders, maggie i think, was really nice. i think i had 2 or maybe 3 lemon drop drinks and i was super focused on sobering up my friend that i didn't realize how intoxicated i was. i slipped and fell and my head hit the wall and i was unconscious for a second and we got kicked out. my friend had to go back for my debit card and ID.i wish they had handled that better and offered water and a moment to collect ourselves, but i remember them essentially escorting us out after i fell.the drinks were good and the music was pretty loud and the men were kinda gross but that's not their fault.it's a nice place but i wouldn't go back just because of the lack of compassion that was displayed when that happened. maybe it was protocol. it is what it is.

Horrible service. Staff was very rude, and the bouncer was even worse. Do not recommend at all!

This place is trash the Dj plays the same music from early 2000s the head bouncer is a child and a low life .Don’t go there unless you want to be over served and drugged !!

The last time I was there two male bouncers were holding open the door to the woman's bathroom looking inside. I asked what they were doing and they told me women could be getting raped in there. I obviously panicked and told them I might have a friend in there, but they tried to get me to go over to a dark corner in the hall. When I refused they tried to throw me out without letting me go back to my table a get my belongings. I begged a female employee to not let them put me on the street without my phone and jacket and informing my friends where I was going. She reluctantly escorted me to get my things.

They denied me and my gf entry sober at 1am. We had money to spend…their loss. Rumours it s than. The bouncer girl at the door was hella mean and inexperienced.

Great prices. Highly recommend starting your night with a game of pool and some super well priced drinks, specially on Wednesday!

As an outsider, it's probably the busiest and most club-ish bar in town. Loud music, lots of college folk.

The music is horrible, BUT the lightening is fire.If they changed the music and catered to a younger audience rather than the 33 year olds, that still listen to early 2000s pop hits, this place would be the best nightclub in Bellingham. Also, there’s so much testosterone. So much. The music high key kills my vibe tho.

Decent bar, but the music was entirely dated, mediocre white people jams, and nobody I was with could get into it. The DJ was even nice enough to ignore all the requests made by multiple people from different groups. Kind of a bummer
