👎 Wasp Infestation, I got stung!

I walked inside for a chai and a chat with my girlfriend and walked out with (thankfully, only one!) wasp sting!

After my girlfriend and I walked Black Diamond Natural Area, we decided to try a new coffee shop and this place looked cute. Immediately when we walked in, I saw what I thought were two horse flies. Flies are not uncommon in a coffee shop, so I brushed it off. We ordered our drinks and sat down. After some time, I noticed the flies were actually yellow jackets. I’m not afraid of bees, so we kept on chatting, thinking one or two had just got inside from the drive through window.

And then I got stung just sitting there!

In the 5 minutes it took me to realize I had gotten stung (first experience), to then making sure I wasn’t allergic, to checking out the welt in the bathroom, my girlfriend killed FOUR with her boot.

No coincidence, there is a clear infestation.

An incredibly disappointing experience. The edges of ALL three breakfast sandwiches were luke warm and frozen in the middle. We specified all the coffee to be hot drinks and they put a freezing cold "coffee" into a hot cup and called it good enough. A waste of time and money. Skip the hassle and go anywhere else!

The first thing that I saw was that one of the servers was scratching their leg, their bum and kept touching their hair, and they didn't wash their hands, they kept touching their phones,they went to the bathrooms and didn't wash their hands, they have no good hygiene there.

I just finished a hike and don’t really know where I am - but WOW amazing coffee and breakfast burritos! The girls inside were so nice. If I’m back this way again I’ll definitely stop by again.
