All the food is so good. Always get the hangover soup!!

Our service last night was pretty poor. Food was served before we got any utensils or water and the side order was wrong. So our food sat getting cold while the server went and got all of these. Never did she check to see if we needed anything else.
The food itself was just ok. Schnitzel was good, but a little tough and one dimensional. We barely touched the potato dumplings because they were completely bland and mushy, not sure how much potato was actually in there based on the texture. The vegetable garden was full of what were clearly frozen vegetables and, while the sauce was good, the spaetzle was also too mushy, it tasted like over-boiled pasta when it should be toothsome.
We sat for about ten minutes waiting for our check before I finally got up and paid at the counter. There was only one other table in the restaurant so no reason we should’ve been ignored for so long.
Keep trying y’all. You have a good concept and space. Just work on your food and get better wait staff than you had last night.

This is the first time I have ever written a restaurant review. We (party of 3) stopped for lunch 12/19. We were "greeted" by a person who turned out to be our server and were directed to the dining area to choose our own table. Menus were brought and we were asked for our drink preferences. So far so good. A few minutes later she reappeared to take our order. I asked for the pasta salad but was told it was no longer available. It had been crossed off of the menu of one of our party but not mine and the other. She proceded to take our orders without writing them down so she had to subsequently return to our table twice for clarification. After bringing our food she never returned to our table see how our meal was progressing, refill water glasses or warm up coffee (there were two other tables occupied so it wasn't an issue of being busy). I finally went to the front counter to ask for water and coffee which was then brought. I found her attitiude dismissive and rude.
As far as the food was concerned, it was OK. The portions were fair. The beef in two of our dishes was quite dry. Seasoning was good and the food was served hot. With "lunch special" prices between $15 and $20 I wasn't overly impressed.
The kicker was a sign on the front counter as you entered saying they preferred cash and would tack on a 3% surcharge if the bill was paid with a credit card. That screams "tacky" to me. I would not repeat this experience.
Parking: Handicapped parking sign was turned backwards so we had to park farther than my 92 year old Mom with a walker would have preferred to walk.

Great atmosphere. All food items I tasted were good, some great. I really loved the cabbage soup. My 10yo son has gotten the schnitzel several times (not my favorite, but to reach their own). Kielbasa is delicious and the potato filled dumplings (sorry forgot the name) are delicious. It's a fun, rustic spot.
Killer food, big beers. I gotta come back and try more plates. Wish they had shots of jagger.

We love Europa. Their schnitzel, cucumber salad, well, everything is amazing and the portions are sizable. We've been coming here for years and the quality and quantity of the food is outstanding. We usually do take out but the interior is cute giving a lodge feel. Parking is never a problem and the person at the front is always welcoming.
