Bay Breeze Restaurant and Bar

Food and service were very good. I had the grilled Caesar salad and the seafood linguine. Yummy! One star loss is just for the noise level...there weren't even that many people there during our visit.

Staff was very rude. So rude in fact we didn't brother to stay and try and the food. Would have had a party of 8 for a fun anniversary dinner but given the unfriendly nature decided to take our business elsewhere.

This place was awesome 😉 the waiter and the bartender were excellent. It did took quite some time to get our food. But it was worth it, the fish & chips was excellent. The rest was awesome and the Mermaid Water cocktail 🍸 was extraordinary. Fabulous place, fantastic people and amazing food.

Both fish and chips were overcooked. Service was average. The selling point is the view, not the interior atmosphere. Won't be in a rush to go back.

I had a most disappointing dining experience. My Filet Medallion was overcooked and cold, and the Seafood Linguine was unexpectedly served with cocktail olives. We chose two of the most expensive menu items, and unfortunately, the quality was far below expectations. While I rarely leave negative reviews, I felt compelled to share this experience. The service was also unsatisfactory, and the waitress was unfortunately not very accommodating. The cocktails were equally disappointing. I would suggest considering other dining options.

Right on the water with amazing views and great service make a good choice for a drink or a meal.

Found a wire between my fish and chips. Waiter said it was from the French fry basket. No apology, just thanked me for telling them. Not impressed.

First/last time going and they were out of rockfish, crab, clams and peas. Which essentially left 2 seafood meals for a seafood restaurant. Between the trash service and being out of everything, go somewhere else. There's like 5 seafood places within a mile.

For Clarification, this was 2 hours after opening and it was dead so no excuse.

The new owners really fixed this place up. Better food, better atmosphere, great drinks, great service.

Best Caesar salad ever. Slightly grilled baby romaine, sun-dried tomatoes, homemade dressing with real anchovies. Delish!

Honest review of Bay Breeze. Took my mother in law here for her birthday we ordered 2 orders of the rock fish, 3 orders of fish and chips for the kids, an order of the salmon pot stickers and I had the Korean chispy chicken sandwiches. Sadly there weren’t many people in the restaurant, but that’s Birch Bay in the winter. Pot stickers were light and filled full with salmon and filling. Came with sweat chillin sauce that my wife couldn’t stop dipper everything into. Rock fish was cooked perfectly! Flavors were perfectly paired with the addition to the fish, and the asparagus was cooked to a perfect texture, not too soft that it was mushy or too under cooked that it was hard to chew, just the perfect crunch. Fish and chips were to die for, not too heavy on the batter and cooked perfectly. served with true french fries, home made tartar sauce that was light and delicious and the coleslaw that serve with it isn’t saucy and had just the right amount of dressing on it. My chicken sandwiche was again cooked perfectly. Had no heavy grease feel when i bit into it and the sauce used was pair excellently. Great crunch from the batter, and again not too heavy.

My only complaint is the service was a little off and felt slow. We placed our orders and the kids food came out first, which is fine, keeps them occupied, but it took about 15 min longer until our meals came, meanwhile I looked around and people who came in 15 to 20 min after us had gotten their food already and we were stuck waiting. Our kids had finished their meals by the time our food arrived.

In closing, will we be back? Absolutely! I truly hope they can service the winter, and we need more Birch Bay locals to come here. Dont trust the google reviews, cause they are wrong. Go here and eat, you won’t be disappointed

The burger and fries were solid. The chowder was great. Definitely a strong starter for a cold night. One of the stars of the show was the slice of sourdough bread as a side perfectly grilled and just the right crunch. These guys source their ingredients, locally and big pride and what they deliver. Definitely should consider this place.

Compared to other Birch Bay establishments, Bay Breeze is clean, light, and smells pleasant. Service was spot on and attention to detail was great. Most of all, the kitchen is going well beyond expectations! Ordering the nightly special didn’t disappoint. Most of all, I could order fish n chips with one piece of fish. The coleslaw was seasoned perfectly and the tartar sauce was brilliant (never would’ve expected a jazzed up version that wasn’t a complete departure.) Sorry it took us a couple of nights to find it. Only notes: dim the lights for a relaxed vibe, arrival experience can be upgraded with clear and welcoming signage. Best of luck, we look forward to returning!
