The service and wait time for your food at this restaurant is atrocious. We stayed at the resort for two nights and had reservations at Packers both nights. Each dinner took around 3hrs per, with incredibly long wait times between drinks, appetizers and entrees. Both nights the waitresses apologized for the long durations but this has happened now on every trip to the resort. We went into the bar side to grab a drink before our table was ready and the bartender who looks like Darlene Conner from Roseanne was pretty rude and appeared to be in a bad mood. Overall it was a disappointing experience. The rockfish had blah flavor and the cocktails never come in the same type of glass twice so you’re left wondering if it’s what you ordered. We sent one fish entree back because it had a long hair in it, they apologized and refunded that portion but still a disappointing experience.

I had high hopes for Packers, but I was sadly disappointed. I'll start with the things we liked. Our server was very nice and the shrimp hushpuppies were really tasty. The rest of our experience was not great. We ordered the Seafood Starter Platter. It was not good. They were out of the mussels so we opted to have two more raw oysters added instead. Big mistake. I'm a huge oyster lover so I was excited to dig in. However, these oysters were awful! They 1) were not cold and 2) had a horrible taste...like what I would imagine stinky feet would taste like. Very bad. The flat bread was basically baked chewy pizza dough with a sprinkle of parmesan. It was lacking any real flavor. Last but not least, they had run out of salmon dip, but let us know they were making some fresh dip in the back. We waited, and waited, and waited. The server was very nice about it and offered to just discount the bill if we didn't want to wait. We said that would be fine, but in the next 8-10 minutes she came and said the dip would be out in just a minute. We asked for it in a to-go container. When it finally came, I sampled it and it was not great either. It had a runny consistency and was way too salty to be edible. We ended up leaving it on the table when we left. It was not worth taking home. Besides the unprepared kitchen and the poorly tasting food, the bill was WAY too high for the horrible seafood platter we received. The next time we are out that way, we'll opt for a sandwich at the little cafe and gift shop instead of going to Packers.

The Kitchen could not keep up with orders and when the food was finally ready, the wait staff did not get it off the line and deliver it to the table in a timely manner. I watched items sit for 10 minutes or more before being delivered to tables. We waited an hour for our appetizer to be delivered to our table. Dinner came out a little quicker but the vegetables were undercooked. Seemed like the restaurant was having a hard night.

We were not happy with the seafood chowder, it was more of a soup. Ribeye was tought to eat, and dessert cookie was burned and cold. Service was slow and we weren't even offered a water refill. And we weren't the only table to have poor service and/or food issues. Probably will be the last time we go there

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and always gave it 5 ⭐️Always recommend it to everyone.
I made the long trip and was expecting the same quality of food. My Salmon was raw and the corn and potatoes it was served with was disgusting. My husband tried the Rockfish it was bland and non eventful. The worst meal we’ve had in a long time and for the price? what’s going on? new menu ?new cooks? horrible start to our weekend ?

We have frequented Packers for over 17 years during our yearly vacation to the area. We’ve watched the menu and general service change over the years. Some good changes, some not so good. We found a happy hour menu online and decided to stop in to try several appetizers. We were seated very quickly and then left unattended for about 10 minutes. No water, no eye contact from anyone who passed by. Turns out we came during shift change, which we understand can throw a wrench in things. We wouldn’t have felt quite as abandoned had someone quickly said, “We are in shift change. We will be right with you.”
We received our waters and asked to be seated outside. Before going outside, we asked a young man if the happy hour menu was available outside. He said yes. The person who seated us gave us All Day menus. We asked for the happy hour one and she said, “We don’t have Happy Hour. Did you find that menu online with Google? You wouldn’t save any money anyway with a Happy Hour menu. We’ll get you a specialty cocktail.” Then she walked away without giving us an opportunity to ask any questions.
Mary, our waitress, came to introduce herself. She saved the day and saved two customers from leaving. The 2 star service is in no way a reflection of her. She is a five star plus and most likely one of the reasons the restaurant is surviving.
The food was good, but the restaurant is at the risk of overpricing itself. The atmosphere outside is, of course, stunning.
A couple of days after our visit, I tried to provide feedback to the manager of Packers. I called the Semiahoo main number five or more times to reach anyone in a managerial position. The manager of Packer’s phone number went to voicemail, which was full. The assistant manager of Packer’s phone number did the same. This, in itself, speaks volumes to the lack of attention given towards leading a team. I also asked for the hotel manager and was told he is in meetings all day. He responds best to emails, not phone messages. The days of actually speaking to someone seem to be a thing of the past and not a priority. If I had been able to speak with someone, I wouldn’t have written this review. Perhaps this will receive the attention otherwise lacking by management.

The food, view, outdoor patio, cocktails, and team are all outstanding! Our server was excellent— she was attentive whilst permitting space and made excellent recommendations based off our questions.

What a view - being right on the water makes this place special. However the flies in the bar, slow food service and prices make it your only and not best option on property.

If you are at the resort and don’t wan to drive. I guess it will do.

We came for breakfast and it was delicious. I had the avocado toast (with scrambled eggs instead of poached) and it was fantastic but the best part was the potatoes. Perfectly crispy and lots of flavor. My husband has the Country Breakfast and we both finished our plates. The orange juice must be fresh because it was some of the best I’ve had.

I had included in my open table booking that it was my husband's birthday!! The restaurant did not even ask us when we arrived if we were celebrating a special occasion. This was disappointing. The waitress was run off her feet. They clearly need to hire more staff. We waited a long time for our drinks and our food. Food was an average. My husband enjoyed the halibut and fries. The menu we were given was different from on the web site. We noticed the tables were not being cleaned when customers left. I witnessed other Customers standing up trying to get the waitress's attention so they could have their bill. We've been here in the past and had a lovely experience. This time was very disappointing. This is suppose to be a 4 star restaurant but Due to the poor service and lack of staff we will not be returning.

Friendly Staff. ordered a roasted steak dish- median rare but turned out to be a well done steak. The server quickly ordered a new one for us and gave a discount.

We were cheerfully shown to our water view table. We were immediately served water & offered a beverage. Our server was pleasant & accommodating. We ordered and shared the shrimp hushpuppies for our appetizer; they were delicious & plenty to share. The remoulade & pickled field green salad were the perfect accompaniment.
My dining mate enjoyed a cup of the chowder; it included salmon and had smoky undertones.
I thoroughly enjoyed my maple glazed pork chop and fingerling potatoes. The skirt steak entree was also very tasty. Alas, the peanut butter pie was the perfect ending to our meal.
The casual atmosphere allowed for easy conversation and the opportunity to enjoy a fabulous sunset.
