My favorite spot for Teriaki in Blaine. Very pleasant and excellent food
The food here is fantastic. You're probably confused about the 3 star rating then. This is a cute lil mom and pop shop. Your service will vary depending on if you get the wife or the husband. The husband, when you call in an order, is rude and borderline combative. It is not very student if you order at the counter either. If you get the wife, you will get a great experience and you can even watch her make your food. We have few options in our small town, so we've been forgiving over the years. The straw that broke the camel's back happened this week. I called in an order and misspoke and asked for a teriyaki bento vs a teriyaki plate. Unfortunately it was the husband I was speaking to and he scolded me they don't serve bento. I said oh my bad I meant teriyaki plate. He basically yelled e don't serve those and hung up on me. Wow, ok guess I'm eating at the taco shop today. Then he CALLS me back on my phone opening with - what do you want. I then explained I apologize but hanging up on me and then calling me back without even an apology was the last time I would accept his disrespect. I'm not going to tell you not to eat here. The food is delicious and the portions are great to match their higher price. Just be aware of expectations of service. Hope you get her :)
The food is sooooo delicious, the rice is not dry and the meat is moist . The best teriyaki chicken I have had in a very long time. The owners are incredible and kind people and welcoming to dine in.
Used to work here when Veronica was the owner. Haven’t been since she sold the business and let me tell you: the sauce is really bad now. I think the new owner cuts the sauce with water, so soupy. Also, what’s with the $2 spicy charge? It’s maybe 2 chile de arbol.
Honestly the salad was the highlight, 10/10 teriyaki shop salad.
My girlfriend used to live in Blaine and was right i do like this place. Good Teriyaki and service though more of a take out kinds vibe.
The foods offered is awesome. Affordable and yummy. I can't help to come back again.
Food was above average for teriyaki the owners of the place yelled at me consistently. I was scared and confused most of the time, but I will return for the great food and abuse.
Food and service was terrible! I left so disappointed for choosing that place, but the worst was hours later when I got sick.
Definitely I don’t recommend it.

Worst Katsu ever!! Such a disappointment. Paper thin, zero chicken and all crust. We will never eat here again. We used to love this place. Terrible.

Wonderful, home made tasting teriyaki with the most perfectly cooked chicken I have ever had. Its a small restaurant, with only a few tables but that doesnt really matter. Eat in, or head over to Lincoln park just across the street and eat. Very friendly owners, overall a great place in blaine

The food was fine. I'm giving it a low score because they charged more on my card the next day without my consent. They added a extra $4.00 to my bill. That is wrong and we won't be back. I'm telling everyone.

Pretty awful. Never coming back. Got lunch special yakidoba. Food took ages and was very substandard. And the couple that owns the place yelled at each other non stop during my entire time in the bistro. I left with indigestion and a migraine. Before I finished the food. And it was just as expensive as the very good restaurants (Chada Thai or Paso Del Norto) I usually eat at. I just wanted to try them out. Bad choice.

If I could leave a negative star I would. I could have gotten past everything else I am about to list, but I asked to use the restroom for my toddler who is potty training, because I had been waiting to pay for 5 minutes just standing there. Then we are in the bathroom for under 2 minutes and the woman comes to the door and tells me I need to get out because there is other customers. Ummm what? Completely rude. I walk out and there is nobody there. Then over the phone the man could not understand what I was saying. I repeated my order several times. He was rude and actually repeated it back to me then hung up. I go to get my food and then tell them what my order is and they tell me this is not a restaurant where I can order whatever I want. And then the woman tells me next time tell me what it is you actually want over the phone. I said I did several times. Both very rude. I could get past the confusion but rushing a 3 year old and mother to get out of the bathroom while the toddler is STILL on the toilet is unbelievable.
