Had the crab omelet, it was ok my husband has the country fried steak. Service was great by the waitress. My friend was visiting from Texas and wanted to go here. We went on a Saturday and we based our visit on their posted hours we found on the web, however if they are slow they close early which happened to us....

First off, the hostess with the dark curly short hair and braces, she was AMAZING! She looked like Hungry Dawgs Diner was the exact place she wanted to be that day! Her facial expressions and demeanor were so warm and welcoming. She has a fantastic smile that really made my day!
Our food was flavorful, HOTT (i had to blow on each bite to cool it down it was so fresh out the kitchen) and perfectly seasoned. My drinks from the bar were delicious and well-crafted.
My husband and I have been coming here for years, but the hostess really blew us away. The way she sat tables and welcomed people at the door was something to be remembered. She was so polite when she asked us what we wanted to drink.
We went like 3 days ago and there was a weird lady there drinking a strawberry margarita and complaining non stop. It made me feel bad for the employees because she was determined to be unhappy. Probably trying to get free food or something.
Anyway, I recommend Hungry Dawgs Diner to everyone! It’s a 10/10!

First, our hostess looked like that was the last place on earth she wanted to be. Her facial expression and demeanor was not polite at all. Our food was bland, cold and not seasoned. Strawberry margarita was absolutely disgusting. This was a waste of our time and money

Went there to see if it was the same as years back. Was expecting more of a Homestead again on breakfast. Wasn't. Go to Dixies Sumner. Way better home cooking and real butter etc.. it was disappointing. Won't be back.
