Trapper's Sushi - Bonney Lake

Food was good as always. 13 empty tables and over a 20 minute wait for two people. I asked why there was a wait and I was told because there were only 2 servers. The waiting room was full. I find it odd
That people cannot be seated just because there are only two servers. Just my opinion. 4 parties, 12 people total, walked out because of the wait. It has been like this my last several visits, it must be costing Trappers a lot of money with people constantly walking out. I used up a gift card I had and I will not be back. Sad because this is their flagship store too.

My actual server was nice she always is. But the male sushi chef, plays magic the gathering and has a septum piercing male, black shirt, did not meet the expectations that we have after our years of going to trappers, the lack of glove changes and touching his face, straw and high touch point areas without changing his gloves was horrendous. It was very disappointing when I even talked with the GM, she had a purple shirt; about this experience and all we got was I’ll talk to him.

I never expect a free meal but the level of unprofessional conversation and the uncleanliness of the one preparing my food I feel did warrant some sort of compensation. Will not be returning to the Bonney lake location. This is the third time coming to this location and can say without a doubt the worst location we have been to in a 30 mile radius.

Been coming to Trapper Sushi in Bonney Lake 20 plus years. Went for a dinner party of 6 and ended leaving after waiting patiently for a very long time, pretty sure our order was lost. For tables and another party around us that arrived after we did all were served. Very disappointed !!! Please advise management staff. Feb 10, 2025 5:15pm

Had 3 rolls all were good. The service however was horrible. It took 35 minutes to get our food which was actually sitting for roughly 15 minutes before I approached the manager asking why we weren’t being served. The waiter avoided us after that and I had to bus our own table to make room for the rolls. No refills were provided either. Manager gave us %25 off the rolls which equaled 4.25 off a $80 bill.

Will not be returning.

I decided to give Trappers another chance, regret it! I have some medical issues that make me extremely sensitive to spices. I noticed a lot of the rolls have spice and asked to omit the spice and the server said it’s pre-made so not an option. I ordered a few rolls and the potion sizes were very small, seems like they are trying to be sneaky and cut portion sizes, I agree inflation sucks right now; but a consumer deserves what they pay for. We got and Eel roll and there were only a few small pieces of eel on it, I asked server if this was the standard; and he said that’s the standard. The Food was also lacking flavor, I probably could have gotten sushi at the 7-11 that was better.
Will not be returning!

usually I like this place, but went there recently with family and wow its declined took forever to get our food due to lack of staff. I'm not one write reviews but please hire people so we don't have to wait an hour for our food.

The food was great but we were greeted by the rudest waitress I've ever encountered. We had a big group and were totally fine with waiting (8 adults)
She basically asked us to leave and said that it would be impossible to seat us when the restaurant was literally empty. Ive been coming here for years and have never been treated so rudely.

We were sat promptly after entering the restaurant but then waited 15 minutes and not a single person acknowledged we were there so we left. I dont mind waiting but atleast say hi or something. Two more tables were seated after us and were helped immediately. Not going to assume any type of prejudice as we have been met with numerous times in Bonneylake but just do better.

Complete waste of time. Food took forever to arrive. If you feel like paying for overpriced sushi, this is your place. Server was helpful but would be nice if food came out faster for the price you're paying

Unfortunately this bonney lake location does not meet the same quality standard as the other locations. We loved trappers in federal way but we just can’t come here to the bonney lake location anymore. The rolls fall apart and the quality just isn’t as good.

Never actually eaten here so I can't comment on the food. I went in to buy a Gift Card. They're having a special promo on Gift Cards, but they are out of Gift Cards. Poor planning.

The quality of fish keeps going down while the price keeps going up. Staff is fantastic though. I was well taken care of. 3/5 stars till the quality of fish goes up
