Bothell Chaat House

We ordered takeout food yesterday, but unfortunately, the items we received at pickup did not match what we had ordered. We had requested the Gobi Paratha Thali, but instead received the Aloo Paratha Thali. This was particularly disappointing because it was an Indian festival day, and my spouse was observing a fast. She didn’t say much, but I could clearly see the disappointment on her face when we realized the mistake.

We had also ordered a Paneer Paratha Thali, but the paratha was quite dry and hard, with very little stuffing.

The salad was not fresh.

The curries included were okay okay. Aloo and onion parantha were decent.

When I called to report the incorrect order, the staff mentioned that they had simply packed what was provided by the kitchen. They were polite and did apologize, but I’m not confident that any corrective action will be taken based on this feedback.

Gobi 65 Biryani is flavorful but extremely oily

I visited Chaat House in Bothell area and had a good experience. The atmosphere was cozy but not too welcoming. The staff was focused more on the delivery and pickup orders. I ordered masala dosa, chilli paneer and dahi bhalla
which was very tasty and they were managing the orders efficiently. The portion size was good as well, and the price was in comparison to other places plus you get 10% discount if you pay by cash or don’t forget to bring it here. The seating was quite enough for decent amount of people, and the ambiance was enhanced by
south indian music and self service. Parking was easy and had a lot of parking nearby to park, and the wait time was decent as well. I’d recommend
this place for families, casual dinners just for decent food for decent price and definitely not for the ambience.

I am writing a review for their catering service - we ordered trays of Aloo tikki chat, dahi bhalla, gobi manchurian and idli very last minute for an event. They were so accommodative of our late request and the food was phenomenal and a big hit! Will definitely be ordering from them again! Thanks Chaat house :)

I visited Chaat House in Bothell and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered Ghee Podi Idly, Aloo Poori, and Mysore Bonda. The so called Ghee Podi Idly had no ghee at all, which completely ruined the dish. The Aloo Poori was one of the most unsatisfying dishes I’ve had it lacked flavor, freshness, and any proper preparation. The Mysore Bonda was ready but was left sitting on the counter, and no one even bothered to tell me my food was ready. By the time I got it, the taste and texture were spoiled.

What made the whole experience even worse was the terrible service and bad attitude from the staff. There was no courtesy, no communication, and no effort to serve the customer properly. Leaving food on the counter without informing, ignoring customers, and showing such careless behavior is unacceptable for a restaurant. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had bad food combined with even worse service. Honestly, it felt like a complete waste of money, and I would strongly recommend avoiding this place unless they seriously improve both their food quality and staff attitude.

Used to be awesome Indian food, would come in all the time. Since they changed ownership, it's dipped a bit. Still good, but 4 stars instead of 5.

Tried a few chaats, dabeli, poori sabzi and hakka noodles. The dabeli was below average, the chaats okay for a place called chaat house. Poori aloo was nice, the vibe is average .

They seemingly forgot our order and started calling out orders that were put in after ours. Moreover, our order wasn’t even that complicated, just a couple of items from the chaat menu. Food was okay, nothing spectacular or special. Won’t be returning. Should have believed the reviews I read prior to coming here.
