This place has been part of downtown Bothell for as long as I can remember, and I’m grateful it’s still here. There’s something special about having a bakery on Main Street that’s been serving this town for decades.
I usually go for the bread — the 100% whole wheat and the sourdough are staples in our house. Fresh, simple, and consistently good. I try to pick up a loaf every week or so, and it never disappoints.
In a world of chains and quick turnover, it means a lot to have a spot like this still baking bread the old-fashioned way. We’re lucky to have them.

The people that work here are so nice. I loved coming in to get my mom’s birthday cake, the employees were so kind and even held the door open for me when I left. Wonderful people and exceptional service. I was so happy about how nice everyone was I forgot to mention the cake haha. Cake was beautiful! And we loved it :) Thank you guys! Your kind happy selves make a huge difference- please know that and how appreciated you are!

Come here every few days a week before I work my shift nearby. The Staff is friendly and flexible and the baked goods are delicious and beautiful. Pricing is pretty cheap and during the busiest hours, you can still find yourself out the door with your goods in just a few minutes. I personally recommend the scones paired with a lemon tea cookie and the brownie on a stick. But the chocolate coffee muffins are super good too.

I can’t say enough good things about Hillcrest Bakery! I recently placed a custom order for baby shower cupcakes, and they absolutely nailed it. I’m not the most creative person, but they took my vague ideas and turned them into something beautiful and perfect. The cupcakes were not only stunning, but also incredibly delicious.
Everyone at the bakery was so helpful and kind throughout the process—it made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. This is my second time ordering from them, and both experiences have been fantastic. Highly recommend!

The best bakery I’ve been to in a long time 🙌hands down! From the moment I opened the door and heard the charming little chimes, I was greeted with a warm smile and a sense that something special was about to happen. Hillcrest Bakery is a step above the rest.
The elegant displays of decadent treats are absolutely mesmerizing. I almost forgot how to speak 🤩there were so many delightful options to choose from! I ordered my go-to iced Americano, along with an apple fritter and a maple Boston cream doughnut.
Let me tell you 😋these pastries weren’t just made to look good. They were the real deal. My apple fritter was like biting into a soft, decadent pillow generously packed with tender apple pieces, and the glaze stayed on beautifully with every bite. But the real showstopper? The maple Boston cream. I’ve never had anything like it. Instead of overly sweet whipped filling, it was filled with rich, velvety custard and topped with true maple flavor balanced perfectly and tucked into the fluffiest dough.
It’s clear this bakery puts immense care into both their craft and their customers. The quality, the passion, the love 😍 it all shines through in every bite.
