After losing our favorite Mexican restaurant, El Toreador, in Redmond, I stumbled onto this modest sized restaurant with exterior covered seating in Bothell. I immediately knew we were onto something when we noticed one of the El Toreador 3 brothers also dining there with his wife. My Chicken Mole was delicious, the sweetest Mole I’ve eaten. The chips were perfectly warmed and loved the accompanying salsa. My wife’s shrimp tacos were stuffed and very tasty. We’ll be back.
The food here is always delicious! The drinks do very on their quality. Always good but sometimes a lot better than others. I have never found a food item I didn’t like. I always leave very full and happy. It’s nice that it is not quite the family style Mexican restaurants that are getting a bit dated but it’s also not a crazy expensive new style Mexican restaurant either. It’s right in the middle and perfect.
I wandered in here when I had some time to kill. Carmen welcomed me and was very nice. I had mentioned my phone was about to die and that I had phone calls I was expecting. Without hesitation she offered me a charger to use. Life saver! Not to mention the tortilla soup I had paired with a mimosa was one of the best (and authentic) sopas I've ever had.
If you're in the area looking for a quick bite or even having dinner, this is a great spot.
