Food has improved, though still not the best value. Hard to find a warm table on a cold night.

If you know the McMenamins story and haven't been here, you should give it a go!! One of the things I love most about these places is that no matter which venue you're visiting (even if it's your first time there) they are all so familiar, friendly and for me, feels so comfortable!! The food is outstanding, the beer, wine and spirits can't be beat, the staff is so incredible and what can I say about the atmosphere other than - if you know, you know!! This was my first time to the Anderson School and I highly recommend!!!

I love McMenamins. All the buildings have a good cozy vibe to them. This place does too!

Best cool place to go. A huge old school converted to a theater. Last showing is at 7pm. Dance hall. (led Zeppelin) band was playing last night. At least 3 restaurants plus pool and shuffleboard. Around 6 fire pits are kept going with happy people loving the fires. A huge place but never enough parking. Very cool place.

The only thing I can possibly hold against them is the prices, which really do just reflect the high amount of effort their staff puts in
Especially recommend the whiskey bar!

My wife and I found this place by accident on a walk, and it has become one of our favorites. We've never had anything we didn't like, and the menu is slightly different every time we come. The drinks menu isn't quite as expansive as the attached Woodshop, but still varied enough to enjoy.

Toast was burnt, English muffin for the eggs benedict was also so burnt so it was impossible to cut. They were out of several things, including bacon on a Sunday morning. There was only one other table in the restaurant for Sunday brunch yet it took 50 minutes for the food to come out. We could not see the menus it was so dark. I would not eat breakfast here again. There are superior alternatives nearby.
We had a bite at McMenamins Tavern on the Square before seeing Uncle Buzzy at Hayne's Hall. The Tavern is a fun, warm atmosphere, with great service. Thank you!
Love this place, but it felt like there was No Heat on at all. It was freezing!!!

There are a lack of good breakfast restaurants in the area, but the Tavern on the Square fits our need exactly. We stayed overnight at the hotel, which made this a convenient place to have breakfast. The food was good, the service was friendly. We will definitely be back!
The food was good and the service excellent. Prices were surprisingly reasonable making for great overall value
Usually a fan of McMenamins, but our visit today was disappointing. We were seated in a mostly empty section, and after ordering, 45 minutes passed with no food or server check-in. When our food finally arrived an hour later, the server never returned, and we had to pay at the bar. I hope this was just an off day.
