The ambiance of the tavern was relaxed and hip, and felt like a great place to celebrate with our adult children

This is a favorite out of town escape for us. We live in the heart of Seattle and we love the McMenamins inns and restaurants. This one is so accessible and also a get away for us. We drive up there for dinner and music or a history talk. The menu is great! We had the roasted Brussels, salmon pasta and a wonderful cobbler for dessert. Since we have modest appetites, we shared one order of each and felt happily full. We also like the beer they make , good selection of diverse flavors.

Always a welcome spot for our biweekly family get-together. We prefer sitting inside and the servers do a good job balancing between the outdoor tables and the sun-shy. We tried a couple new breakfast offerings (Longshoreman and Farmer's Choice) - both excellent.

As always, McMenamins Tavern on the Square was nice place to take the family. They cater well to kids. The food was delicious.

I ordered the fish and chips and it was very good. My friend ordered the steak and it was cooked perfectly.

A very cozy and welcoming place to celebrate the summer solstice. We'll be returning with friends!

The food is very good here and the server we had was very attentive. It did take a bit to get our dinner but the reason for that was explained to us. We weren't going to a nice place to hurry!

Our server was very nice and helpful. Most of the food we had was pretty good. The beet salad is super tasty! Unfortunately my son had a burger that was over done and my daughter's orange chicken was dry. The ambience was very warm and charming.

Extremely slow food delivery and inattentive service. Quality or quantity of food doesn't compensate for any of it.

We were disappointed. Our memories of this place were good, but the only thing we enjoyed last night was the fire in the fireplace and the outside plants. The service was not very good; we waited forever to even order! And even to get our tab!?

The food was terrible. We had gumbo and salmon linguine. I would not recommend either item.

Great place but dinner for 4 took 2 hours and 40 minutes. The server was slow, the cooks were even slower, and the fire pit outside was smoking up the inside making it hard to breathe. I have been here for lunch several times and it was fantastic. I will never come here again for dinner!

Ordered 2 burgers. Took 1 hour and 40m to get them. Historically, all of the restaurants here have bad service, but this broke the record.

The ambience is wonderful, the staff is friendly and helpful, the food was good…but our 4-person group had to wait over 30 minutes to get our food!

This resulted in one of my friend’s food arriving cold. She rarely complains, but this time she did because her omelette was cold. Thankfully, they prepared a new omelette for her.
