Really liked their coffee, but they’ve shut down. Looks like they’re changing ownership/names and going through renovations as of 5/4. No notice on the sign when they’d reopen.
Latte not for my personal taste

Pretty expensive for what you get imo. (Price: 2 stars.) I think I would have been better off going to Starbucks. And while they have an assortment of baked goods, I don't see any egg-type breakfast sandwiches on the menu or other significant sources of protein.
I had their coconut dream cold brew and while it tasted decent, it did not have enough flavor (even though I paid an extra dollar for it) and even worse, it did not wake me up at all. I felt like I needed another coffee afterwards so that was $8+ down the drain. Also, their food safety rating is just "Okay." (Eek!!) How you fail to get a good safety rating in a coffee shop where you are not handling raw foods is beyond me. (Safety: 2 stars.) I won't be coming back personally.

I enjoyed my drink that I got here. I had the Lucky Irishman, and liked how smooth the flavor was. Service was quick and friendly as well. The time I went it was quite dim inside, with little comfortable seating area (not too many sofas, mostly un-padded metal chairs) and the toilet was flooding. For me, more of a stop in for coffee, and not the place to stay once I’ve got my order.

Average coffee for average prices. That would earn a 3 star. One star knocked off for my disgusting breakfast sandwich. The lowest quality bacon with way more fat than meat, and a hair melted in the cheese. Yum. For the downtown bothell area, where you can find better tasting coffee for cheaper, this establishment is definitely sub-par. The space is cool, the vibe is ok, but if you actually want good coffee, look elsewhere.

Decent place to work. Lots of tables and chairs though it can get noisy so bring your noice cancellings if you have em. Good wifi. Coffee drinks are meh. And ability to foam milk is starbucks level (well below par). Caseline baked goods are ok (not the french ones though).

DECEPTIVE PRICING!!! DIRTY Social Grounds!! **ALERT** Whatever you order at Social Grounds there is a NEW HIDDEN $1.28 surcharge. When you ask about why your $3.58 drink went up to $5.35 they point to a sign that states all items are 70 cents more but the math doesn't calculate and as you can see I was charged even more than that; $3.58 (drink) +1.28 (surcharge) + $0.49 (tax). I asked them why not just adjust their menu pricing rather than charging a hidden fee and they said that is just what the owner has done. All people understand when costs go up then prices will go up too. There is no reason to hide it in a hidden surcharge. That is just plain deceptive and misleading. And then I'm expected to tip after that?

Diverse selection of Mochas ranging from Sweet chocolate to Dark chocolate (50% Cocoa, 70%, or 90%).I went for the Dark chocolate mocha and it wasn’t the best.

Thought I’d give this place a try. Ordered drip coffee & blueberry muffin, coffee arrived no muffin. Responded that I also ordered a blueberry muffin, server comes back with a blueberry scone. Responded that I had ordered a blueberry muffin, server comes back with the muffin. Set the coffee on the high top table , sat down resting one arm on the table that then rocks wildly a good 3”. Coffee spews out the top the cover over the table and on my pants.Cup was overfilled to the brim, couldn’t put sugar in without additional spillage due to rocking table.Lost a new customer, will go back to Cafe Ladro.
I love the food and coffee here, but feel that the staff could be nicer. I was there 15 minutes before close to order a salad to go, and was told no, I could not order a salad because they just did the dishes. I understand closing a kitchen when customers coming in right before closing can be hard, I've worked in food service. But they can either pay the employees to break down the kitchen after they close, or provide signage that says you can't order a salad after a certain time. I was not dining in. The to-go salad containers are plastic, and I can't imagine they would have to use a ton of dishes to make one salad. I messaged them about it on their Facebook page and got no response, that was weeks ago. Super bummed. I rushed to get there before close, and was never provided a logical explanation and then zero response.

The baristas were kind and the atmosphere was great but this is probably the worst coffee I have ever tasted.

Pretty and cozy place in the heart of downtown Bothell.Loved their pastries and coffee.I would prefer my drink to be saved in a mug instead of a to-go cup when eating in, but that's a matter of preference.
Parking: Retail garage parking and street parking available. Although street parking spots are mostly fully parked by people living in the area at certain times of the day.
