Best agedashi tofu of any Japanese restaurant I've been to , the dashi is perfect & id highly recommend trying it! Affordable, good quality & service, with generous portions. Don't miss out on their complimentary green tea - it's fantastic and one of my favorite parts of dining here.
Chefs at the bar seating are happy to chat while you are dining there and some of the staff/chefs speak Japanese as well.
This place is ALWAYS delicious. Each visit still gets better too. I don’t know how they do it but this place never disappoints.

This is a gem for sushi. The special rolls are varied and tasty without being too over the top. I definitely recommend the jalapeno ponzu sauce!! Staff is friendly and service is quick!

This is the best sushi in the area. It's almost always busy because it's good quality and the prices are so reasonable. The lunch bento box is a killer deal for everything you get.
Kid-friendliness: They provide kid-friendly chopsticks and several kids meal options are available including katsu and udon.

We've been coming here since we moved to Washington in 2005. Easily have had hundreds of meals at Sushi Zen. And, while we occasionally try other spots across greater Seattle, nowhere else compares. Not on quality, service, nor atmosphere. If you haven't tried Sushi Zen, you should. If you frequent another Sushi spot, you shouldn't. Daniel, Kimiko, Aki and their dedicated staff provide the freshest food, simply and elegantly prepared and served. Always welcoming when you walk in, and a signature "see you tomorrow" as you leave.
