If you’re near Woodenville, Washington definitely make plans to stop at McMenamins Anderson School in Bothel, Washington. It’s a former school tranformed into a unique Hotel Complex. There’s a movie theater, swimming pool, tiki lounge, restaurant, sports bar (the woodshed), a whisky shed and gift shop. Elanha was the hostess for the Woodshed and she spoiled us from the time we arrive until we left. Her Customer Service was Outstanding!! An Amazing, Fun Stay!!! You Won’t be Disappointed!! The Anderson School Location is also near Wine Tasting Country:) Have Fun!!
Stayed there for two nights. Room was ok but the shower was musty and there was mold in the grout behind the sink faucets . It was noisy most of the time and the WI-FI worked intermittently. There wasn’t adequate parking. We were pleased however that the woman at the desk allowed us to check in early.
Stay here if you are looking for an uncomfortable Hostel experience. Two old fashion dining room chairs and a bed. Many rooms are below ground in the basement. Parking situation is abysmal. Restaurant was surprisingly disappointing. We had a 2 night reservation made through Expedia. To add insult to injury the hotel refused to cancel the 2nd night after we decided that one night was enough. Avoid.
The staff was welcoming, helpful and made me wish that I worked there; from the front desk, to the store, to the tavern and tiki bar, just great hospitality. Our room was beautiful and it took a while to get to it because of wanting to read the stories and admire the artwork in the hotel. The food was delicious and the drinks yummy. "The Mitch" was a great drink. Wishing we had brought our dog and we will next time. I had never been to Bothell and now? I freaking love Bothell, who knew? The most enjoyable hotel experience in years and that is with staying at "fancy" hotels around the world for the past 8 years of living abroad.
Exceptional staff an be whiskey selection. You have a preference? They can give you a flight to match. 10/10 do recommend.
When it was opened in 2015, even then the hotel rooms were not equipped with supporting the technology that was available, and now it’s even less equipped. Also, walls and ceiling paper thin, can hear snoring from room upstairs. Food and beverages very expensive and wait staff very inexperienced. No room service.

Intimate bar with fireplace for post dinner cocktails
The service was very friendly and food was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing with the fire pits. Be aware that there is some smoke floating around from the firewood smoke. People around were talkative with friendly vibes. I didn't get the bartenders name in the hut on Thursday, but she was a A+ employee.
Great spot for an intimate drink! Bartenders are very knowledge and friendly. Worth checking out!

What a great location and bar. Drinks quality were as expected. What I loved most was the atmosphere outside. The firepits were a nice touch.
Place is tiny. I walked in and walked out immediately. You will not be able to have any sort of private convos, let alone a relaxing drink. There's intimate and then there's this place ?
Amazing ambiance. Great drinks. And a short walk away from a number of other McMenamins bars and restaraunts if you want a change of pace.
There is no better spot on a winter night than here to sip on a Scotch or two. I love the fireplace and the intimate seating. I wish I had this in my back yard.
Very disappointed. We've stayed here before and enjoyed it. This time it felt like they were cutting back on everything. No extra TP was left in the room, the housekeeper refused a simple request for extra pillows, and the front desk declined our request for a 1 pm. departure. Everything was a chore. The place lost its specialty for us.
