Trainwreck is a fabulous restaurant and bar. I've been there twice and the service was very friendly and prompt both times. The last time I was there, with my wife, we had an extraordinary lunch. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. Go hungry.

My favorite spot in Whatcom County! Great quality food, smoked meats and all the sauces made in house. Creative menu a step a head of most taverns. My son will drive 100 miles to meet me here for a meal. My dad from Montana said it was the best Chicken fried steak that he had ever eaten!

Great local place! I’m from out of town and they are doing Burlington proud! It’s 21 and over only just for fyi but if that isn’t and issue definitely go visit them!

Not only is it located along side an active rail road but they've got some of the best brisket fritters I've ever had. The elk burger is also really good.

Really good food, and a lot of it. The place was packed with customers on a Tuesday night, yet the service was incredible. If we lived closer, we'd be back often!

Had an amazing dinner date with my wife last Saturday! We decided to try this spot and were seriously impressed. The vibe was welcoming, and our server, Wesley, made the experience even better. He was patient, knowledgeable, and super helpful with the menu. My wife got the Quesabirria Torta—slow-cooked beef in a rich adobo sauce, layered with jack cheese, mayo, cilantro, and onion on a roll that was just right. It came with birria consommé for dipping, sweet potato fries, and a Peachie Peach cocktail. She loved every bite. I went with the Smoked Pastrami Reuben, and wow—everything was on point. The in-house smoked pastrami was moist and flavorful, the sauerkraut and Swiss were balanced, and the toasted rye bread gave it the perfect texture. It came with sweet potato fries and a creamy horseradish sauce that really brought it all together. We left full and happy. Not sure if I’ll go for that amazing Reuben again or try the torta myself next time. Either way, we’re definitely coming back. Thanks for the awesome service, Wesley!

A fantastic date night experience!

My wife and I came here last Saturday and had an outstanding time. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Our server, Wesley, was exceptional. He patiently answered all my questions about the menu and made great suggestions.

My wife ordered the Quesabirria Torta—slow-cooked beef in a rich adobo sauce on a perfectly balanced roll, with melted jack cheese, mayo, cilantro, and onion, served with a flavorful birria consommé. She also had sweet potato fries and a Peachie Peach cocktail. She couldn’t stop raving about how good it all was.

I had the Smoked Pastrami Reuben, and it was phenomenal. The in-house smoked pastrami was moist and flavorful, and the sandwich was well balanced—just enough sauerkraut, perfectly melted Swiss, tangy 1000 Island, and toasted rye that held everything together without being too hard. It came with seasoned sweet potato fries and a creamy horseradish sauce that added a nice kick.

Everything was fresh, well-executed, and satisfying. I’m already debating whether to order the Reuben again or try that torta for myself next time. Thanks again, Wesley, for the great service—we’ll definitely be back!

Food is always delicious and drinks are always good. Love the Philly cheese steak, and my hubby likes the elk burger. They also have the BEST gluten free buns!

The music they were playing really set a good tone for the atmosphere and energy. I felt very comfortable and welcome throughout my stay here. I ordered jalapeño poppers and they definitely disappointed me, not as much as my girlfriend did though. The cream cheese filling of the jalapeño poppers wasn't fully melted, and that's where my disappointment stems from. I ordered a ruben sandwich for my main course and it was delicious. Only thing to look out for is the sandwich comes with a side of horseradish, this is not dressing for your ceaser salad. Don't make the same mistake I did by dumping horseradish on your ceaser salad. All in all I would recommend this establishment to a friend. I see myself returning here in the future.
