Asked if I could order a beer to sit outside while alone with my dog. The bartender wouldn't even talk to me or try to take my order at the outdoor area. Totally unaccomodating and quite franly lazy. The place was empty and she couldn't be bothered to take my order in their outside seating area. Won't come again. Nuestra Mesa down the street, a full restaurant, invited me come in with my chihuahua, to inquire about outdoor seating and I had a wonderful time.

The food is solid for a taproom, but the vibe and beer selection is fantastic. The bartender provided tasters and cooked our sandwiches and that’s no small feat. Worth a visit.

Our community is so lucky to have Caps & Taps in downtown Camas! It’s almost like having our own community center serving the best variety of beer, and if you show up during St. Patrick’s Day ☘️, hands down THE BEST Rueben you will ever experience. Thank you Michelle, Jeni, Mike, & staff!

If you visit enough, it is a little like going to cheers. The staff will remember your name, and usually say hello to you right away with a welcoming smile. Tuesday trivia is the best!
Just don’t ask to drink one of the beers in your pack if purchasing cans or it makes them all much more expensive which wasn’t explained when I asked if I could drink one there. It would have been cheaper to buy the four pack and get another beer on tap but they didn’t give that explanation before upcharging for opening and pouring one can. Left a sour taste (not the beer) but I guess I’ll consider it a donation to a downtown business and take a break before returning. Thought I was going the economical route getting the four pack and boy was I wrong.

I understand how businesses work and run, but I also understand how easy it is to follow up your question of ‘would you like to drink one of these beers here?’ with the statement ‘this $18 4pk will now cost you $25 instead if I open and pour it for you so you should probably just buy this 4pk and get a draft as well since it would be the same price because I’m cool and look after my customers and want them to come back.’
But, maybe that was more information than you were looking for.
