This was my 5th time buying dinner at this location. I buy the 12 piece tender family meal which comes with thick jojo/potato wedges and 6 honey biscuits.
The first time I came, many months ago, it was amazing. Here’s what I like - caveat when it’s fresh off the fryer.
Pros: chicken is much meatier than Popeyes or kfc and the breading is crispy and thin. It’s a great balance of chicken thickens and breading.
The flavor is awesome. Classic Cajun seasoning with some spice and saltiness but not overwhelming.
Potato wedges are super thick and crunchy. Somethings a little too thick, but it’s still good especially with ranch dip.
The honey biscuits are AMAZING!!!! Just fluffy and sweet and with a crispy bottom.
Now the cons: The last 4 times I bought it, everything was old, dry and stale. So much so that I had to come home and air fry the chicken and wedges back to life. And I threw away 4-5 of the 6 biscuits each time because they were stones.
Short of it is: this is my favorite fried chicken when it’s fresh. But there must be a short window to buy it fresh before it turns hard, stale and nasty.
Feedback to the workers and owners of Kristy Krunchy Chicken: I wish the people who serve the food would either take it out and replenish it and eat the cost or let buying customers know how long it’s been out. Grocery stores will have a timestamp when it was cooked, perhaps that what you should do as well.
