When we walked in there was a sign that stated they were in the process of switching vendors and could not accept cards at the time, so we did not get to eat. There was no one there to greet us either, in and out without seeing a single person as there were also no other customers. Had a homey, old time feel though, and would be interested in trying again. Maybe we went at the wrong time of day?

The menu is just for fun, so NOT fun! Want your water or coffee refilled? NOPE! Asked how the burger was to be cooked, medium was the answer. NOPE! Chef salad is not served as it is written on the menu and you get dirt because who would think to rinse the lettuce. It was said that the menu you are given isn’t what you are going to get because it changed and it’s so expensive to have a new one printed. If you don’t serve what is on the menu that you give me, you should tell me before I order! Chewing on tinfoil would have been a better meal than we received. I think the reviews are skewed because friends are leaving them. Stay away from this place if you want a good meal. I’ve had better chow on a ship where moldy fruit was served. At least I knew what I was getting when I saw it.

Instant family feeling. Everyone is so nice. The took good care of this ol vet, they are very patriotic. Food was excellent. Would come here everyday if I was local.

Great! Driven by for years. First time to stop and wish I had sooner. Very personalized type service from an owner that cares. I'll definitely be back.
We were late and starving, making a dinner of junk food was not appealing. We heard from friends that Biggies in Chattaroy was a good spot. Barring other alternatives at hand, we drove up. We were met by Erin (sp?) who welcomed us in. Mercifully, the restaurant was warm! We could see our truck in the parking lot and see into the kitchen area. Erin mentioned an unadvertised special of a French dip sandwich. This was chosen by both Charming Bride and myself. The restaurant was worn, but, very clean. It was comforting to be able to see into the food prep area as there was nothing to hide. It was near closing time, we were stilled welcomed in. Erin was efficient in her order taking and refilling out drinks. She was kind enough to ask if we had been in before. Since this was our first time, she gave us a brief encapsulation of Biggies. Gina, the owner-chef came out and spoke to us, explaining how she likes to prepare the sliced meat, asked about our choice of cheese on the French dip and reaffirmed the multiple choices of dipping sauces at hand. The French dip, which Charming Bride is very gifted at preparing, was ALMOST as good as Charming Bride can make. ( How’s that for not committing suicide in a review? ). On our way out we chatted with Gina and got more back ground on her life and Biggies. We chatted about the various take out options and heard of the weekend ( please check with Biggies! ) delivery. All said and done, nice place, great personable service and great French dip sandwich. Our next trip with me for pizza!
