Yeah this place is a 10/10. My wife and I were on a long drive to the middle part of our state. We are Seattleites from the Ballard area and love our sacred spots like Hattie’s Hat and Beth’s. We wandered into the shire not knowing what to expect but my goodness do these guys get it. There’s so much authenticity in this menu and cooking that they made a hamburger feel like something that had been totally reinvented for me. The hot sauce (ordered separate, the bun, carefully cooked burger was rejuvenating. Worth the pit stop; wish I had tried the ny strip or salmon.

Not LotR-themed like I initially hoped, but gorgeous interior old Irish Pub feel (maybe more like The Green Dragon??). The food is under $30 for just about everything on the menu and it's fantastic! My wife and I live about an hour away and we'll be back frequently just to come here.

Food was excellent. I got the shrimp and grits. Just a tad spicy, but not so much that I was sweating from it.

Service was great. Drink was constantly filled and the chef threw together a free appetizer for me.

Atmosphere was pleasant. Had some classic rock in the background that was just loud enough to drown out other tables’ conversations.

The baseball sirloin with huckleberry sauce is genuinely one of the best sauces I've ever had! The service was fantastic and will definitely be coming back!!

Great food! Not your typical bar. Great place to have a drink or a nice night out. No blaring TV, nice and relaxing.

I am a regular here...it is one of my 'happy places' The owner Joel is always a joy and Robert who is the amazing chef and the laid back easy atmoshere!
