Yeah this place is a 10/10. My wife and I were on a long drive to the middle part of our state. We are Seattleites from the Ballard area and love our sacred spots like Hattie’s Hat and Beth’s. We wandered into the shire not knowing what to expect but my goodness do these guys get it. Not LotR-themed like I initially hoped, but gorgeous interior old Irish Pub feel (maybe more like The Green Dragon??). The food is under $30 for just about everything on the menu and it's fantastic! My wife and I live about an hour away and we'll be back frequently just to come here.
Food was excellent. I got the shrimp and grits. Just a tad spicy, but not so much that I was sweating from it.
Service was great. Drink was constantly filled and the chef threw together a free appetizer for me.
Atmosphere was pleasant. Had some classic rock in the background that was just loud enough to drown out other tables’ conversations.
